Purito Plainet Squalane Oil 100 - is it really for all skin types?
Pure squalane derived 100% from sugarcane; this promises to be a lightweight, multi-purpose oil that “rapidly penetrates the skin to instantly hydrate and lock in moisture”.
It claims to be for all skin types and everyday use, day and night. As well as being vegan and cruelty free.
It’s a simple, no thrills oil that would most likely suit those with very dry, dry, normal and potentially combination skin types.
Unfortunately for me, this just isn’t something I’ll continue using and will pass onto someone who will get the use out of it.
Sat on top of my skin and didn’t sink in (even after hours!)
Left a sticky / tacky finish
Left my face extremely oily and shiny (not a look!)
Despite having oily skin, I still like to use nourishing and hydrating products to keep my skin supple and glowy. I thought this would have been a great addition to my routine, however it’s just not for me.
I’ve tried this on several occasions, using just one drop, mixing it with a moisturiser, and even using a toner / essence in an attempt to ‘dilute’ it to help it sink in… all to no avail - it just sits there.
I’m not sure this product really is for all skin types after all; if you have quite oily skin, I think you may have a hard time getting this product to sink into the skin.
