Hyaluronic Acid is a great product that helps plump the skin, improve elasticity, help with wound healing, and obviously hydrate the skin. However, hyaluronic acid has two other rivals that may make it obsolete in the near future. 

Snow Mushroom and Polygutamic Acid both attract water like Hyaluronic Acid, but both hold more it’s weight in water. Plus they have other benefits that Hyaluronic Acid doesn’t. 

Polygutamic Acid is made out of glutamic amino acids and certain types of Bacillus bacteria through fermentation. It improve the skin barrier due to the polypeptide chains, improve elastin and collagen, increase product of carboxylic, lactic, and urocanic acids plus prryolidone which help the skin lock in moisture. 

And the more superior of the three is Snow Mushroom. It does all the benefits listed above, but has even more that might attract you to this ingredient. Snow mushroom has brightening and antioxidant properties that can improve skin tone and reduce irritation. It also has anti-inflammatory properties which can soothe skin.

Hyaluronic Acid Overrated?

I’m mixed race (black, white, Chinese) and I run pretty pale compared to my other family members, so when a company sends me something like a BB cream or some type of complexion product, I don’t have to worry all too much. Now granted I’m not a makeup girly, but it does have SPF 30 PA+++. 

Here’s the issue, it only comes in three shades, and none of them are suitable for darker skin tones. Their BB Cream comes in six shades which still isn’t enough, but THREE? So far there hasn’t been a lot of backlash, but PURITO better pull a TirTir because this is ridiculous. At least launch 10-15 shades from the get-go.

Nothing bad about this product! It’s so good. 

My redness, a thing of the past! This toner is so good at hydrating and soothing my skin! 

The only sad part about this product is how expensive it is. It retails for $188 USD 

OMG THIS IS SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT!!! I won this in a giveaway a long time ago and I wish I had buckets of this product!! I paired it with my favorite retinoid and I loved how clear my skin looked the next day!! 

I’ve been using this product for the past few months now and I love it! I have the 3 fl oz bottle and I’m a quarter of the way through. If you want to see your dark spots fade, this is the product to get! 

This is such a good spot treatment! I use this either night or day whenever a whitehead pops up. It helps clear it away after 2-3 days. It pairs really well with other products and lasts a long time. 

It is a fragranced product which I don’t particularly mind, but I prefer if my products didn’t have sents 

This was a pretty good sheet mask when I bought it! Hydrated my skin really well and was coated with so much product!
