I’ve been seeing lots of mixed reviews on Glow Recipe. Is it worth the hype, is it worth a try even? I looked through their website and their prices are ridiculously high so is the price worth it or just go for something more affordable yet effective? If the price is worth it, which of their products is worth trying?

So as a teenager I had oily skin then growing up my skin (face especially) started getting dry, sensitive, dark spots and lots of acne. Fast forward to few months back, I started taking my skincare routine a little serious (not as serious as I want to tho lol); I make sure to cleanse and use sunscreen and changed my eating habit; more water, less sugar and less soda✌🏾 so now I noticed my face is not dry anymore feels normal but my Tzone is oily and still acne prone. 

So CAN SKINTYPE CHANGE overtime??

Let’s talk as I’m actually confused myself! What is the actual/correct way to layer products both in the AM and PM. 
So let’s say all the products are these and we wanna use them in the AM and/or PM: cleanser, sheet mask, clay mask, eye mask, toner, essence, serum, ampoule, vitamin C, retinol, BHA/AHA, spot treatment, eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen,  and lip mask. 

What’s the correct/recommended steps in applying?

There’s alot of controversy around this!!

I’m yet to grasp the idea of double cleansing but I’m looking to try doing that soon. I’ve noticed most people use cleansing balm or oil before a regular cleanser! What are some recommendations for double cleansing? My face is a combo of both oily and dry!! Thank you!!!

Edit: After few days of using Axis-Y, I decided to use just the BOJ serum by itself in the AM, by PM I started seeing rashes on my face. 

There’s a possibility that my skin is sensitive to Niacinamide, I’m not sure yet tho because I also got rashes from using the Good Molecules Niacinamide brightening toner.

Can these two be used together?

🌱Key Ingredients: Snail Mucin, Black Beans & Collagen. 

🌚My Experience: The key ingredients are great for firming, diminishing and nourishing skin. I am a huge fan of snail mucin so this is perfect for my dry skin as it hydrates and firms my skin. So far, it has improved my skin’s elasticity and reduced blemishes leaving my face very hydrated. The cream absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves it glowing.

✨How to use: Apply as the last step in your AM routine before sunscreen and as the last step in your routine at PM. 

🔥Concerns/Suggestions: I do not advice for it to be used as part of the PM routine due to its stickness as it might make your kin feel tight. Also, little goes a long way


 

Too pricey for the quantity. Changes color from white to brown if kept in the house for too long. Attached below pictures of it when it changed color.

The sunscreen does not leave white cast, blends easily into skin and for this current weather, it has just the right amount of SPF. I would advice to be careful tho, too not keep for too long as it changes color; it went from white to brown!

🫠Skin Type: Dry/Combo

🌱Ingredients: Snail Mucin, Hyaluronic Acid & AC-Cica Pure complex. 

🌚My Experience: Anything with snail mucin is definitely an holy grail. The packaging is really nice, very colorful and the pump makes it less messy to get the product out. The texture is gel like and very lightweight. This essence helps hydrate my skin and plumps my skin restoring its elasticity.

✨How to use: Can be used at AM and/or PM after toner. 1-2 pumps is sufficient as it absorbs into the skin quickly. 

🔥Concerns/Suggestions: It has a scent but it is not overpowering 

Looking for a good mosturizer plus spf combo?? This is the one!!! I recommend this product to any and everybody! Very light on the skin! Texture is perfect! No white cast! And yes, it hydrates!!!! No scent/fragrance! 

This is my sixth “bottle”! Love love love it! 


It would leave your skin shinning! It didn’t do anything for me, I’m not sure what I was expecting from it but would not purchase again!
