Sometimes when I'm feeling insecure about my skin, I compare my current photos to my old photos (the worst my skin has ever been). I didn't experience acne until about a year ago, age 21. It was a downward spiral that I could not control, so I stopped trying any serums, active ingredients, etc. I kept it simple with a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen; but that seemed to make it even worse. I have been having major medical issues that mess with my hormones, which has been horrific for my skin. These photos are 47 days apart - I started Differin adapalene gel on November 27th, so here is where I am so far on my journey. I've also added a lot of products back into my skin care routines which are definitely helping. I was feeling down about my skin until I realized how far I've come in just 47 days. I'm on my monthly cycle in the after photos as well, so not bad! What do you guys think?

Skin Update!

I recently tried the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and love it! It doesn't burn my eyes, goes on clear, and is weightless. Because of the silicone texture I think it is a product you will either love or hate. I liked it so much I just ordered 2 more tubes. However I found this dupe at Kroger (Ralph's) today! Has anyone tried it? The Supergoop one is $38 for 1.7 oz, whereas this one was $12.99 for 3 oz. The texture is pretty much the same. The differences I noticed are the following: The Supergoop brand is water resistant for 40 min whereas the Kroger brand is water resistant for 80 min. The Kroger brand also has higher percentages of the chemical filters used. Supergoop is clear, while Kroger has a slight peach tint to it but goes on invisible. The only downside I'm noticing is that the Kroger brand has orange peel oil which is technically a fragrance, and can cause irritation to sensitive skin. If you like the Supergoop Unseen Suncreen and aren't worried about the orange peel oil, I would definitely recommend trying this!

Hey guys! What are some toners that can be used everyday? I know toners with active ingredients such as bha/aha should be used less frequent because we shouldn't exfoliate everyday, but I am looking for a gentle toner that doesn't exfoliate! I currently use this witch hazel by Thayers as my everyday toner.

EVERYDAY TONER

I like this product because it is a nice consistency and feels super good on the skin after cleansing and toning. Niacinimide is one of those chemicals that can be paired with a lot of other great ingredients, so this is a good layering treatment. I use it every night including my retinol nights. The results you see are a month in between photos, without using a retinol. It doesn&#39;t burn or dry my skin out. This product is super affordable too, under $10. A great staple and will be repurchasing!

There are 2 &quot;kinda&quot; cons with this product but still would not hinder me from purchasing:

1. There is fragrance. While this doesn&#39;t bother me personally, some with sensitive skin may have a reaction with the fragrance ingredients. 

2. This balm does blur the eyes for a couple of minutes. However, it does not sting my eyes.

Great for removing sunscreen and makeup!

I bought this cleansing balm in a sample kit that had 4 minis of the different balms by this brand. I was using The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm and loved that, but wanted to see what all the hype was about with this balm so I decided to give it a try. I was quite impressed with this product. Unlike TIL oat cleansing balm, this one spreads beautifully with so much ease. I really like this as I&#39;m not over agitating my skin with a lot of harsh rubbing. I use a retinoid and other actives, so my skin can be sensitive at times. This is super gentle. I also really like that this product emulsifies instantly with water as some balms don&#39;t completely emulsify and wash off. I have noticed less breakouts while using this product, and it doesn&#39;t irritate any active breakouts I have. There is fragrance however it does not agitate my skin. I find that fragrance isn&#39;t much of a problem with wash off products, but it would be nice if they made a fragrance free version. It also comes with a spatula, which I greatly appreciate for 2 reasons: 1. I have long nails so scooping anything with my fingers is a hassle and 2. I&#39;m not constantly touching the balm, potentially adding bacteria to the entire jar. Lastly, this product is not drying at all. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and prepped for my second cleanse, and there is no leftover oil or residue once washed off.

This product may not be moisturizing enough if you have really dry skin. Nothing bad to say about it according to my skin type though!

This product has been an absolute holy grail item for me! It does a very good job at mattifying my skin during the day, as I do not like a dewy appearance after applying sunscreen. I have used this with the Australian Gold Botanical Spf 30 Mineral Sunscreen, and there was no oil or dew at all on my face all day, even after reapplying the sunscreen. I have also used this product with Aveeno Postively Mineral Spf 40 Face Milk and Cerave Ultra Lightweight Moisturing Lotion Spf 30. I have noticed that this mattifying moisturizer literally helps remove dewiness from any sunscreen, some more than others depending on the ingredients in the sunscreens. It is also hydrating enough during the day, and then I use a moisturizer with a little more hydration at night because I don&#39;t mind the dewy appearance while I&#39;m sleeping, so I take that time to really pack the hydration into my skin. I buy this at TJ Maxx for $10 which is a great deal, I stocked up and will continue to use this product in my daily routine!
