I am looking to try a Cica product. I want to know why you love it, hate it or just meh. Have you seen many changes with using it and how long have you been using it. Which brands do you recommend?

This community had the BEST info for my last topic. So I wanted to reach out. I have recently started adding retinol to age gracefully 😉, decrease fine lines and scarring, as well as all the other benefits such as some acne, uneven skin tone, etc. Which retinol product do you recommend, why and what are you using it for?

I have been using lactic acids through Elemis and Sunday Riley (tagged below). Both are my holy grails but I am always open to trying new products. I have a bunch of back up AHA products so maybe I will find which one to try next. LOL

AHA! Which is your favorite type and brand?

Wanted to get thoughts on this. It just came in today so I will patch test a couple times and then use if that goes well. What has been your experience and what do you pair it with?

Do you double cleanse? If so, what do you use? I double cleanse when I wear sunscreen or makeup. I have been using Micellar Water to remove eye makeup and then usually my Cerave cleanser to wash twice. Sometimes I use my Saturday Skin wash. What is your favorite and why?

I picked and received this from my FabFitFun subscription box. I ended out buying another tube during one of their sales so I wouldn’t run out. It keeps the skin hydrated around my eyes which tends to be dry for me. My circles are not as prominent after using. I use it under my eyes, all the way on my orbital bone and upper eyelid. (Not sure if you are supposed to, so best would be to follow the directions.) If my eyes wet, it can sting a little but that has been typical all with most eyes products I use. (I tend to get to close to my eyes-see above).

I use a few drops so that I don’t get too oily.

I am loving this product. I have been using it for a few weeks and I love how it feels on my skin. I wasn’t sure about the smell but it is very calming with Blue Tansy and German Chamomile. It is a beautiful color blue but when rubbed in it is clear. I will definitely continue to use it.

Nothing for me so far. Some may not like scented products ehich may turn them away. I love a pleasant fragrance though.

A little Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer goes a long way to give you a silky and smooth finish. Give it a good shake to mix up the formula. I lightly applied to my face and it immediately made my skin feel soft and velvety. It didn’t pill over my other skincare products. I have combination skin that gets drier and looks duller in the winter seasons. I have occasional (mostly hormonal) breakouts or blemishes. I have some scarring from previous acne. So blurring and evening is always beneficial before putting on my foundation. The moisturizing helped my dry areas that are more prominent in the winter. 

It has a light pleasant scent and the frosted glass bottle with light pink primer is just beautiful. 

Benton’s Snail Bee High Content Essence-allergic it appears.

This is my first time using a product with snail secretion filtrate which is said to remove dead skin cells and stimulate cell renewal.  

I have never had a product (that I know of) with bee venom either. The bee venom is said to stimulate collagen.  Then a huge bonus ingredient is Niacinamide which has so many added benefits. 

Benton says the product will:

✓ Dull skin &amp; Blemishes
✓ Skin elasticity and nutrition
✓ Uneven skin tone &amp; Pigmented skin with acne scars”

Unfortunately, I had a reaction on my neck immediately after applying. The first day, it was slightly itchy and not overly bothersome. The second day of trying, I used it 2x and the second time that day my neck broke out in an extremely itchy patch&#47;hives. The patch has almost faded completely 2 days later. It did not bother me when I patch tested on my arm but unfortunately did not work for me on my neck and face. I wanted to love it. I may make a dermatologist appt to see what bothered me as I tend not to have sensitive skin or allergies to bee. So we will see.

Just took time to get used to healthy skin.

I am a huge fan of most Cerave cleansers. It took a bit to get used to them as they don’t strip my skin which I was so used to. My skin feels and looks great.
