My Cosrx Propolis Light Ampoule has arrived!!!

So, I'm thinking about switching to a different sunscreen, and honestly, I'm a little overwhelmed by all the choices. Maybe you have a recommendation? 😊

As someone with dark skin (I think a 6 on the Fitzpatrick scale), my biggest concern is white cast. I also don't like sunscreen that stings my eyes. I don't mind if the sunscreen is chemical or physical. 

Also, I live in Malaysia, which means Asian sunscreens tend to be more accessible to me. Would love to hear if you have a recommendation 😌

COSRX Propolis Light Ampoule Review!

I'm sure a lot of people have seen all of the issues about sunscreen lately. It's a little frustrating, because it makes it harder to know which sunscreen to get 😭. Does anyone have a favourite sunscreen that actually provides the correct SPF? Or any good sunscreen brands in general?

Sunscreen Controversy

I've been using Alpha Arbutin for about 3 months, and it's been doing well for my skin, but I saw somewhere that you should only use it 3 months at a time. I was surprised, because this wasn't information that I've seen in a lot of places. Can anyone confirm if this is a thing?

How should I use Alpha Arbutin?

It can feel slightly warm and tingly on the skin. It&#39;s not too irritating for me, and the feeling usually stops after a few minutes. This product also requires some patience, as I only started seeing a significant difference after 3 months.

I&#39;ve been using it for 3 months, and I have seen some improvements in my skin tone. The texture works fine for my dry skin, and I use it during my night routine before my moisturizer.

It has a slight smell to it, although it&#39;s not really that bad.

This is officially my favourite sunscreen. I really love it because it offers high protection while still not causing any white cast. It&#39;s a chemical sunscreen, so the lack of white cast is no surprise. I also like the texture. It&#39;s kind of watery, and it spreads very easily on the skin. I think this is my new holy grail!

I don&#39;t really have anything bad to say about this product. It gets the job done. Cleansers don&#39;t really have to do much more than that.

It&#39;s a good, solid cleanser. It gets your face clean without being overly stripping. It&#39;s also has this scent that reminds of me the ocean air. It&#39;s fragrance free don&#39;t worry 😂. I think that&#39;s just the natural smell of the product. It&#39;s pretty good.

I think the only downside is the price. As a student, I like to go for very inexpensive products. That being said, it&#39;s still been very satisfying to use and I&#39;m glad I got a chance to use it by winning the Picky X COSRX giveaway!

I really love the texture of this product. It&#39;s really smooth and it pretty much glides on the skin. It leaves my face feeling so moistured when I use it, and it pairs really well with my moisturizer. The packaging is also quite cute!

I don&#39;t think it did much for my pimples. My pimples often cause hyperpigmentation, so I thought the niacinamide would help me prevent that. 

The foaming can also be a little annoying, but as long as you pat it into the skin instead of rubbing, you can avoid the foaming. 

Also, the pipette handle got bent at an angle. I can still close bottle without any leakage though, so I guess it&#39;s ok.

Overall, worth a shot, but I don&#39;t think I will be repurchasing.

I have been using it for about 3 months and my face has become brighter, although I&#39;m not sure if it&#39;s because of the niacinamide or the alpha Arbutin that I&#39;ve been using. I use niacinamide in my morning routine and I use Alpha Arbutin in my night routine. 

It can also be fairly soothing. Once when I had some irritation, the niacinamide made my skin less inflamed.
