Anyone have any theory about why EOS lip balms suck? Lol you are free to disagree with me, but I’ve seen many reviews saying the same thing. On the other hand, I adore their sensitive skin shaving cream and would love to try their body lotions. It’s just their lip balm I find terrible.

Why is EOS bad?

My mom is a CNA(nurse’s assistant) and hard manual labor along with constant hand washing has ravaged her hands. We do like Eucerin’s hand cream, but I’m wondering if anyone had any other suggestions. We weren’t impressed with Kiehl’s Ultra Strength hand salve or the Esfolio brand. She is also sensitive to scents, so non-perfumed is preferred.

If you’ve tried a retinol with success, please let me know which one. The Ordinary’s granactive retinoids are suppose to be gentler than retinol(brand claim) but my skin wasn’t able to handle it. My skin is also highly sensitive to fragrance and essential oils. I favor K-Beauty and know they have some great low percentage serums, so please let me know which ones you’ve liked.

People with Sensitive Skin!

I won this in a Picky giveaway and I was hoping any of my fellow sensitive skin pickies knew the best way to apply this. The one and only time I tried retinol, I got a retinol burn, so I am worried about it happening again. Do we do the sandwich method with creams too? I know I should start off slow and with a dime size amount. When applying a retinol serum I read that dry skin is best too. Is it the same with creams? Also, I’ve read conflicting things about which is more irritating, retinal or retinol? Thank you for your help ❤️

Sandwich method?

My little sister only uses minimal skincare and has an oily t-zone. She gets blackheads on her nose. She loved an AHA facial Cleanser with lactic acid, but it’s discontinued. Can someone suggest an affordable AHA cleanser that isn’t too harsh? It seems that lactic acid cleansers are pretty rare, so she may have to try another one. She doesn’t have acne, only the blackheads, so that’s why I don’t want anything too harsh.

This did have an odd texture and has to be melted in between fingers first. It did not play well with my vitamin c eye serum, but thats only because my serum is silicone based, and this is not. Definitely still good for those prone to milia, though! 

I was gifted this from Benton in exchange for my honest review. Tbh at first I couldnt tell a difference in my dark circles til i looked at my before and after pics. Theres a definite decrease in darkness and line depth.

This has bifida ferment lysate(the main active in Estee lauders ANR Eye cream and Lancomes Genefique) for the first ingredient and Galactomyces Ferment(active ingredient in SK II) for the second, which is incredible to me. Most western brands dilute with water, but the two active fermented ingredients are the very first ingredients in this formula, and this costs a fraction of the price of Estee Lauder. Also comes with double the amount! 

Definitely need a moisturizer on top, because this is not enough on its own. Make sure to use lots of hydrating products in your skincare routine to avoid damage and dryness.

I tried only once a week, only using the tiniest amount and used the sandwhich method. It left me with porcelain smooth skin 🥰 I love that it has retinal instead of retinol, since it is less irritating and more powerful at the same time. 

I did not witness anything bad with this product. It goes on completely clear and was perfect for my dry skin.

I have very dry skin and this has been perfect for winter. It has silicone which makes it perfect for the last step in your skincare at night as an occlusive. It left my skin moisturized and soft.

It had no added fragrance or essential oils, which I greatly appreciate for my sensitive skin. The small size makes it great for travel and for reapplication. I was impressed by this product and cant wait to try more from this brand. 

•Greasy: brand claims it’s not greasy, which I dont agree with. Would be very bad for oily skin imo, although I have dry skin.
•white cast: left white cast on my dark skin, so not dark skin-friendly. 
•Fragrance added: Fragrance is added in the middle of the ingredient list, but it did not aggravate my sensitive skin, fortunately.

•reef friendly, mineral based
•moisturizing, with matricaria and cypress flower 
•niacinamide and daffodil extracts for brightening
•bigger size, 100 ml(3.3oz) which is bigger than normal for Kbeauty sunscreens. 

🌹has essential oils, so may not be suitable for sensitive skin, although my skin usually doesnt like essential oils and was fine with this.
🌹probably not for oily skin or blemish-prone friendly due to high amount of shea butter.
🌹takes awhile to sink in due to thickness, so more ideal for night time than day time. 
🌹i prefer the finish of other creams to this. It doesnt leave me supple and plump like other creams.
