Will there ever be an option to search our own reviews? Some of us have hundreds of reviews, so it can take a while to go through them all to try and find the one we want when making lists or a routine for example.

Question for Picky

I was lucky enough to get a PR package from them! I’m so excited to play with these and post an unboxing and a couple of looks with these in the coming months. They’re a new to American drug store brand from Australia. So if you live in the US, you can check these out in person at your local Kroger or Fred Meyers location.

I’ve been lucky enough to try out five of the six colors and I am SO in love with the formula! It’s so comfy to wear and so moisturizing, I even use it when I’m just around home in place of a lip balm. But I absolutely loved how these looked in natural light. No filters were used on these! Fun fact I never use filters on my review pics. Anyway the last pic is swatches and what the colors look like on my lips. I found that the darkest shade had the most color separation with wear, it worked best blended out by finger instead of applying it like a traditional gloss. But the lighter colors could be used like a gloss since the color was so subtle and didn’t separate. Such a fan of this formula! Which is your favorite shade and have you tried this line?

Lastly for anyone curious, I have gotten to compare the apple Hi Amino All Cleanser and Hi Amino Cleansing Milk. The All Cleanser was stripping for my dry skin (so I think it will be amazing for people with more oily skin). If you’ve seen my other posts, I have said that the Cleansing Milk was fantastic for my dry and sensitive skin. Also the All Cleanser doesn’t smell like apple like I thought it might.

I was surprised by the minty/lime combo for the mask, but quite enjoyed it (it wasn’t too strong either). And lastly I talk about some of my favorite ingredients featured in the serum in my video review.

They’re one of very few brands that I’ve encountered which had Braille on each of the products I got to try out. Usually a brand only does it on one or two products which is a bummer, so I was really happy to see this! If you’re trying to make products more inclusive, it’s definitely best practice to do it with the whole line. I would love to see more brands expand and do this to their whole line in the future.

The only thing I wasn’t thrilled by was the scent of the product. It was a bit stronger than I normally prefer in my makeup. 

I ended up being pleasantly surprised by this product! It left my skin looking fabulous before I even applied any complexion products. As someone with dry skin, this was a super moisturizing formula that left my skin feeling nice and smooth. In fact it has the texture of a moisturizer (nice and creamy). It didn’t make me look oily either in my opinion. I think it’s a great product for anyone who wants to get dewy or glass skin. Even if you apply a matte foundation on top, I think this still offers a subtle glow. And you can always use an illuminator to enhance the dewy or glass skin effect. 

My biggest complaint was the fact that the instructions were only one sentence long (in English anyway, if you wanted more details and don’t speak Korean, then you would have to go based off of google translate). A lot of red light therapies need to be used for a certain amount of time to work, and this one didn’t specify how long to use it. 

Considering this is a much more affordable option than some others on the market when it comes to LED treatments, I think you should definitely invest in a better device than this one. I also have to say that the little device was poorly made. Mine arrived cracked on the inside, and I noticed it while I was pulling the plastic tab to make it work. You can see it in my pictures. It’s a cute idea, but I also don’t think you should have to buy the entire kit to get the cream again (which is the only option on Amazon that I saw). That feels very wasteful to me. 

The light arriving cracked, the sensation of how sticky this cream is, and minimal instructions are why I only gave this kit three stars.

This cream is really aesthetic looking, I’m not sure how else to describe it. It’s really pretty to look at and a fun idea. It’s a hybrid moisturizer with both cream and gel in the formula. An affordable LED treatment option will appeal with a lot of people. But this did not feel as good as it looks. I know part of it was that the cream’s texture made for a great slip agent, so that the LED treatment could glide across your skin with ease. I know that the light is meant to help kill bacteria under the skin, especially in acne (which is why red light therapy has become so popular). I do love the size of this LED treatment because it’s the perfect size to cover a pimple at a time. 

From an accessibility standpoint I love the handle on the LED device. You can easily slip it between multiple fingers (like in the middle of your hand), so it’s easy to keep a hold of and you don’t need to just hold it between your thumb and forefinger for example.

I love the fact that the cream features both vitamin c and niacinamide to help combat dark spots in combination with the red light therapy of the wand. Its also got eight types of hyaluronic acid to really lock in that moisture overnight. It does give the skin a glowy appearance, that’s for sure. 

I did not have anything that I disliked about this product.

One of my biggest pet peeves as a makeup artist is makeup removing products that aren’t eye safe. I’m happy to say that this one from Byoma is among the ranks of safe to use on your eye area! It even works to get rid of stubborn waterproof makeup! This is why I often suggest this product here on Picky. It’s one of my favorite cleansing balms, and it’s less than $20! Super affordable, it works, and my skin loves this product. I’ll often use this as the start of a dual cleansing session, especially when I use a ton of makeup like the look in the video where I talk about my thoughts on the product. I’ll use this to loosen up all the dark pigment, wipe it off with a reusable cotton round, then use a foaming cleanser after to keep my skin from feeling greasy. I highly recommend this if you’re on the market for a new cleansing balm. I love that the brand includes a product break down on each package, saying what every ingredient is doing in the formula (like a ph stabilizing ingredient for example). As for the scent, it is fragrance free. No added perfumes if you’re sensitive to fragranced skincare like I can be. Definitely recommend this one! I’m always saying how much I love it on the boards here on picky, so I thought I’d finally review it for you all! Enjoy. 

The reason why I took one star off of this review is because I have dry leaning skin. This cleanser did leave my skin feeling a little tight after use, but that’s because this is meant to treat more acne prone and oily leaning skin. Plus I was able to easily correct this with a post cleansing routine that focused on hydrating my skin so I don’t hold it against this product too much. I didn’t have anything else that I disliked immensely about this product, but I also enjoy cooling products with menthol like this one because I deal with red cheeks. I know not everyone enjoys that sensation or the smell of that ingredient.

If you’re looking for a face wash that can help cool you down this summer, look no further than this face wash from Laundryou! It’s minty fresh as the name suggests and smells like a mint mouth wash. This Face Gargle features menthol as an ingredient, which is why the cleanser offers a cooling sensation. I found that to be nice and refreshing, and look forward to using it on a hot summer night before bed, or first thing in the morning to help me wake up. Not only did it help with my redness by immediately cooling my skin, but the brush that came with it helped exfoliate away dead skin with over 10,000 bristles. Plus the brush fits into a toothbrush sanitizer, so it’s easy to clean between uses. It is also meant to help with sebum build up in areas like your t-zone (forehead and nose). So it’s great for all skin types, including my overly sensitive/dry leaning skin, and those with oily or acne prone skin. The only ones I don’t think will like this are those who dislike mint smelling products. 

The stain was so good it did leave behind some color even when I used an oil based balm and double cleansed my lips. 

This product was gifted for free by Vidivici and Picky in exchange for my honest review. If you hate traditional glosses for being sticky and gross, Vidivici has the solution for you. They were not lying when they said this lip gloss doesn’t transfer! I did a live with this product and was drinking some water and I was so amazed when I made the discovery. I immediately told my friends about the brand and product and made a review for this. I know there are some ‘gloss without the transfer’ products, but I haven’t found one that was didn’t transfer like this one when I drank or eat. Not only that, but the gloss leaves behind a stain, so if you do eat and some of the top glossy layer comes off, you still have color left behind on your lips. I cannot suggest this product enough! I was so happy with this, it is something I will be recommending to all of my friends and followers.
