The white cast when applying this sunscreen was something fierce. Afterward, my face looked like I stepped into clown town. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this product for dark skinned people. I was unaware that this sunscreen took some elbow grease to rub in. Fortunately, the white cast isn’t so severe throughout the day. I was frustrated how difficult it was to wash off my hands afterwards. There was also some pilling & my sebaceous filaments were emphasized. Overall, I’m very unhappy with this sunscreen, & while this isn’t the worst, it still missed its mark. I’m even more unhappy about the thought of reapplying it. I wouldn’t consider purchasing this in the future.

This sunscreen has an SPF of 50, which blocks out 98% of UV rays; making it perfect for outdoors folk. The texture is creamy & thick due to the zinc oxide. The finish is also semi-matte. Therefore, this can be suitable for people with sensitive skin that isn’t dry. Even when I applied this around my eyes, it didn’t sting at all. To note, the product is fragrance free, which is important to many people, including me. I’ve applied & reapplied on my body & it didn’t leave a sticky finish.

Unfortunately, I feel that this line is focused too much on humectants & not enough on emollients & occlusives. The hydrating/moisturizing feeling disappears too soon on the skin. Due to the southern wintry conditions I’m weathering, I felt this wasn’t enough to moisturize my skin, especially at night. If I were to try this in the spring/summer, it might have sufficed. This line wouldn’t be a good candidate for those with dry/sensitive skin, as this just wouldn’t be enough to accommodate the skins needs. Furthermore, I felt this didn’t help much with the acne & irritation I often times face. I can definitely say I won’t  purchase this in the future because of the mediocrity of these products.

This particular skincare line is mainly focused on hydration for the skin. Suitable for normal to oily skin in humid summer weather, it’s light weight & absorbs quickly. The toner essence has a watery texture & leaves a semi dewy finish behind, while the ampoule is milky & bouncy, leaving behind the same dewy finish. Lastly, the moisturizer, is a cream-gel consistency that applies semi glowy & is quickly absorbed.

One thing I disliked the most was the heavy amount of fragrance used, specifically the essential oils (lavender, bergamot, etc.). Even though CKD Guaranteed wanted to create a sensorial experience for the consumer, I feel the guasha neck cream would’ve been better without all the unnecessary fragrance. 

When I was on antibiotics for 2 weeks, my skin became quite sensitive & when I used the neck cream, my skin became itchy. In addition, I got a small red spot on my neck. I highly discourage anyone who has very sensitive skin using this.


So would I recommend this particular neck cream to anyone? Probably not. When not on sale, it’s pretty expensive. There are so many more affordable products than this & I feel it isn’t the best on the skincare market.

Since around the beginning of March, I began to use my Guasha neck cream. 

The neck cream is innovative in their packaging & design. I love how moisturizing it is on the skin & have actually seen a little bit of improvement in my skin, particularly my skin’s brightness & elasticity.
I’ll have to say, it took some getting used to the packaging, but after figuring out that I squeeze the bottle to dispense the cream, I was able to use it easily. I think the stainless steel applicator is so unique, making the process of applying it mess free. The cream has somewhat of cooling, refreshing sensation when applied. After using it a few times a week, I noticed the skin on my neck looked smoother & more radiant. 
So far, the cream is actually a decent quality. This would be best for people concerned with wrinkles, fine lines, texture, & dryness on their necks.

One problem I have with this serum is that it’s lacking cosmetic elegance. The application is unpleasant & the finish is really sticky & tacky. At first, I thought that I just wasn’t using enough serum, which wasn’t the case. Btw, I use 4 drops for my face & neck. The other problem is that, despite the packaging, it oxidizes quickly, meaning you also have to use it quickly. Honestly, that’s pretty impractical. I had really high hopes & expectations for this vitamin c product, but just wasn’t happy with the quality. Hence, I won’t repurchase in the future. There are many better vitamin c serums out there in the world of skincare, but this just wasn’t one of them.

Like many vitamin c serums, this has an orange color that deepens over time. At least the bottle is an opaque black, which helps to minimize oxidation from light & air. Even though this product is fragrance free, I noticed somewhat of a sweet scent whenever I used it. The consistency is watery & leaves behind a dewy finish that disappears quickly. I’ve been using this every morning & I can say that I’ve seen somewhat of an improvement in my acne scars over time. Unfortunately, I can’t say how well it works for what little hyperpigmentation I have. But so far, it’s works okay & it doesn’t irritate my skin much.

I have nothing negative to say about the product itself, except that the finish afterwards is tacky, but it’s nothing bothersome. I, however, dislike the “clean beauty” marketing term, making it seem like other skincare is “dirty”, therefore it’s “bad”.

I’ve used this lotion for a week & I’ve seen quite a difference in my skin. I notice there’s been less irritation & redness (which comes from my acne), as well as a nice calming, refreshing sensation after applying it. The texture & color honestly reminds me of a banana-vanilla like custard & looks absolutely delectable (please don’t consider actually eating it lol). It’s somewhat viscous & leaves a glowy finish behind, but not in an oily, heavy way. In addition, I love how it’s both hydrating & moisturizing. I find that a little goes a long way, which is nice because it would save me money when repurchasing. Whenever I use my topical medications & layer with my serums/essences, it doesn’t pill & is cosmetically elegant.
While this moisturizer doesn’t yield dramatic results overnight, it has amazing potential that shouldn’t be overlooked. Hence, I can definitely see myself using this regularly.
Overall, I recommend this moisturizer to anyone with a weak skin barrier & looking to calm down skin, or even if you’re just looking for a good, everyday moisturizer. Albeit this might be more suitable for the winter time, I think this can work for any time of the year.
