I was recently asked a question about whether you should apply sunscreen to your eyelids and if it was safe to do so. 

My answer was that the eye region is very sensitive but most sunscreens should theoretically be safe enough to apply around the eye lids, unless otherwise stated I would steer clear of scented sunscreens as this could sting your eyes; and yes we should protect our eyelids too! ☺️

What’s your take on this and which sunscreen would you recommend for sensitive eyes/contact lense wearers?

I was just shopping online for skin care and I came across the HaruHaru Wonder serum and essence. And it got me thinking, would you apply serum after the essence or is this considered too much or does it work wonders?

I’m not sure if my combination skin was dryer than usual due to the cold weather, but on initial application I did find it a little tingly. However, this discomfort didn’t last too long and my skin has since gotten used to the formula which is great; so it may take some easing in to if your skin is new to Himalayan salt. 

I can’t say that I’ve noticed too much difference to the size of my pores since using this product but my skin definitely feels cleaner, tighter and brighter. For this reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I still favour the Hyalu-Cica range from this brand.

This beautiful pearlised shimmery cleansing foam lathers up very well, leaving your skin feeling so much more clearer. 

I love how intensely rich and creamy it feels against your skin, especially when you start adding warm water to it, it just melts away and becomes even more milky soft and smooth; it’s so satisfying! 

I also love how it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry after use either, unlike some other cleansers I’ve tried in the past. 

Presented in a tall pretty pink tube that is generously filled, this foam cleanser has a mild herbal scent to it; which does disappear once you put it in your face.

This product is best suited for those with oily skin and may cause discomfort if you have extremely dry-sensitive skin.

Unfortunately I just wasnt too sure about the texture of the cream, it felt a little powdery and I didn’t feel as though it absorbed into my skin as quickly as I expected  it to. My skin definitely appeared brighter but you really have to be careful with how much you put on because you could easily end up with a overly white face. A thin later seems to do the trick! I don’t want to give up on it just yet, I’ll give it another go! 

I really wanted to love this product because it smells absolutely amazing and is made from Jeju Cherry Blossom extract! One of my favourite plants in the whole world! Who doesn’t love a Cherry Blossom right? Even the packaging is pretty! I didn’t have any bad reactions to this cream which is great. 

Although very minimal, I definitely noticed there was some improvement to my skin after use but it hasn’t completely eliminated all my spots as I still have a couple on my cheeks that haven’t disappeared yet.

Verdict:

A gentle cleanser that is kind to sensitive skin and lathers really well, leaving your face feeling fresh and clean without loss of moisture as it claims.

The texture is really nice and smooth, I love how the clear gel turns into a lavish foam when mixed with water.

It comes in a generous size bottle with pump applicator which makes it really easy to dispense even with wet hands. 

Available from boots for £10 for 236ml which is such a great price!

How to use: Use in the morning and night, always apply moisturiser and sunscreen after use in the morning.

Presented in a luxurious glass bottle with dropper, this glistening pink formula is enriched with Himalayan pink salt, Peptide-9 Complex and Madagascar-sourced cica extract. 

This combination of ingredients helps remove dirt, dead skin cells and excess sebum; whilst offering hydration and anti-aging benefits all at the same time. It has also been suggested to reduce the size of your pores and improve skin elasticity.

Applied straight after cleanser and toner, this formula is lightweight, smooth and fast absorbing. The texture is like water but it does have a little weight to it. I was really happy to find that this ampoule does not dry out the skin your face and is rather soothing.

Like the foam cleanser it has a mild herbal scent to it, which does disappear once applied to your face. I really love how lightweight this formula is!
