I’m using the biossance mineral zinc sunscreen (my doc approved the ingredients), now that it is getting warmer I want something lighter and less heavy. 

Anyone have any recommendations?

The only thing i could think of is that double cleansing is absolutely necessary if you wear makeup. Like most cleanser today, just cleanser alone is not enough to remove makeup and will require a oil cleanser or a balm first.

This is my favorite cleanser, it is non stripping and exfoliates my skin so gently. Maybe it is the strawberry seed oil or tomato extract but my skin feels hydrated after wash as if i used a essence.

I will not use it alone without first using a balm or oil cleanser when I am wearing makeup or sunscreen. 


Vegan snail mucin or phyto mucin seems to be trending right now and I’m so glad I was able to get my hands on this one. 

This is a milky textured cleanser. It doesn’t foam up and it has a stretchy feel to it that reminds me of snail mucin. At first, I was not sure if I should use this as the 1st step to a cleansing routine or the 2nd, so I tried removing makeup with it, and it wasn’t very effective. It got some mascara and foundation off only, which makes me feel this product is better off as the 2nd cleanser in a double cleansing routine. 

Although removing makeup is not its strength, this cleanser does feel very gentle and nourishing on the skin. No tightness after use and definitely does not strip the skin. I personally like it because it feels more moisturizing than a gel or foam cleanser.


This wash is difficult to wash off, a damp towel is often required. It claims the rice husk are good for exfoliation, but i dont see how they can exfoliate because they are quite chunky. Physical exfoliation is also something i avoid because they can be quite harsh. As much as i like the moisture this mask offers, i am not a fan of seeing the rice husk go down my drain… it doesnt seem environmentally friendly.

The texture of this mask is buttery, aside from the rice husk. It glides on the skin very nicely and leaves it moist after wash. It feels calming and nourishing.

This product was marketed for dry skin, however it does not hydrate at all. Not one bit. It also pills when i touch my face.  I think this maybe worth a try for oily skin, but i would not recommend it for dry skin.

Aesthetically, this is a beautiful product. It is unscented which is great for sensitive skin.

Let me start by saying, this is a LOVELY suncream. This sun cream is formulated with Centella Asiatica to soothe and calm the skin. It contains chemical filters, making this a chemical suncream with no white cast. The cream is very lightweight and easy to blend. No eye irritations. It moisturizes well and leaves a dewy finish.
