Hi guys! It's been a while since I posted a discussion, I've been looking for some brightening goodies. I'm using some but open for new. Can you drop your HG brightening products that helped you with dark spots? 

I'm currently using good molecules discoloration correcting serum, so far so good (I'm still waiting for significant changes). Previously, I use axis-y dark spot correcting glow serum and I liked it, it's effective for dark spot and also moisturizing.

Share some trivial information regarding skincare, a fun fact that is not widely known and can solve misconceptions! 

I'll start first....
 I saw this from a tiktok. Collagen supplements are not worth the money coz it is a protein and when ingested is broken down into amino acids which our body naturally produce. Unless you have deficiency, it won't do much.

📌Claims: A nourishing serum enriched with 63.36% Ginseng root water and 3% Snail Mucin for deep hydration. Niacinamide and Cornus officinalis fruit extract for brightening. With moisturizing properties: Hyaluronic acid, Hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, Sodium hyaluronate. 

📌My experience: This caught my attention because of ginseng which is known as anti-aging and traditional herbal medicine in Asia. It is indeed moisturizing despite of its light-weight texture that is easily absorbed by skin without the tacky feeling (my oily skin would love). It compliments the hot weather wherein I usually don&#39;t use moisturizer that is why it&#39;s good for oily but dehydrated skin like mine. My finelines around the forehead improved after few weeks of usage. True to its claim, moisturizing and nourishing. Although I can&#39;t still see the brightening effect maybe because it contains only a small amount of brightening agents, it will take a long time to achieve that benefit. It doesn&#39;t have any notable smell. I don&#39;t have any bad experience with this product, it is one of my favourite serums.

However, it contains fragrance which some people might be sensitive to. But, if you&#39;re not sensitive to fragrance it is worth the try! The scent is a subtle grapefruit that is not irritating at all, well in my case (*YMMV).

UV filters: Zinc Oxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate

This small bottle works wonder! I have used this for a very long time and a staple in my routine. It has a milky texture and low viscosity that glides smoothly on the skin. Despite its texture, it does not dry my skin because it contains moisturizing ingredients (i.e. glycyrrhetinic acid, which prevents rough skin). It is water-resistant and leaves limited to no white cast. Finally, I have found the sunscreen oily skin peeps would love, to top it all, it does not contain any bad alcohols.

This product made my skin smooth, reduced my sebaceous filaments and whiteheads around the nose. It may be an exfoliator but it is actually moisturizing. It is gentle enough for beginners to try.

✔️ Consistency: It is viscous, lightweight yet moisturizing. I&#39;d say it has the same consistency with some essence.
✔️ Efficacy: It&#39;s not an instant fix, it is effective but it will show after few months of usage. 
✔️Price: For an exfoliator it is affordable than other known Exfoliator in the market.
✔️Repurchase? Definitely yes. It is gentle goof for beginners but I&#39;ll probably increase the percentage of my exfoliants when I finish this bottle.

After using it for few months, I haven&#39;t seen significant effect on my skin (no irritations too), it&#39;s like an aloe vera that does not dry your skin out. It doesn&#39;t have the plumping effect my previous snail products give me, so nope I won&#39;t repurchase it.

It is lightweight, the texture is gel like but turns watery when spreaded -- hence, the name essence. It&#39;s not tacky nor sticky when dry, yet does not leave your skin dry and tight. Been using it for 4 months, good for the summer. Not that hydrating despite of having snail mucin.

It is worth the try but I am open to other essence out there which are more hydrating. It&#39;s not that cheap nor expensive, I&#39;d say it&#39;s midrange when it comes to price of essence available in the market.

👎The bad: Yeah it contains alcohol and fragrance which some people might be allergic *YMMV. Not water resistant, I feel like it washes off when I sweat a lot. .

⚛️(Chemical Sunscreen)

🤔Thoughts: This is the first sunscreen with alcohol that I tried because I was so scared of bad alcohols when it come to skincare products. However, this does not dry my skin at all despite the alcohol ❤️. I love how moisturizing it is, I won&#39;t be needing moisturizer during the day. It is also fast absorbent, it may have the creamy texture but turns into gel when applied to the skin. I love using it and it&#39;s affordable too. I didn&#39;t have any irritations from this. Can&#39;t really describe the scent but it&#39;s kind of a mint but subtle, doesn&#39;t smell like alcohol at all. Doesn&#39;t have a white cast 😍

🤑Price: around $7 (original price) - got it for like $3 (I hoarded) 😆
