It is also advertised as a makeup base/cleanser but I didn't find it to be super effective.
Had this recommended by my derm after having flaky skin around the eyes, so I guess I expected it to be more effective. Unfortunately it did not do much unless I exfoliated first (in hindsight, I should have expected that). Don't expect a miracle.

Hydrates deeply without leaving the skin oily. I actually had a dry patch under my chin for years and it went away only with this. Used it on the face as well with no issues although it cleans heavy makeup with no problem.

Great texture, leaves skin hydrated and nice to touch. It's cheap too
