Thank you so much to Skin1004 and Picky for choosing me to review the Madagascar Centella Ampoule. 
Here’s my first impression of it:
- The packaging is beautiful and the ampoule comes in a glass bottle.
- It’s super light weight on the skin and absorbed well too.
- It contains pure 100% Centella Extract which is amazing.
- There was a slightly cooling sensation on application which is nice. 

What are your thoughts on this? Have you tried it? Any tips of using it?

I’m sure most of you have seen this ingredient in a lot of skincare products, so I did my research too!
🌼 Calendula has been around for years in Ayurvedic Medicine for healing properties.
🌼 One of the major properties is soothing inflammation, discomfort and antioxidant protection.
🌼 Some research also suggest that Calendula has anti-aging properties and contains skin plumping agents. 
🌼 It simulates skin firmness and regulates the melanin in skin for a brightened skin by reducing blemishes.

I have tried the Nacific Herb Origin Toner which contains 82% of Calendula Water. It’s quite a moisturising toner and keeps the skin well hydrated. You can check out my full review too.

Calendula in skincare

I’m yet to indulge in facial oils in my routine, safe to say I’m a total newbie when it comes to them. I’ve seen them around a lot but I’m not sure where to start. I have a dry and acne prone skin so I’m scared with the acne prone part. 

Also, how do you use them? Which step of the routine? Any recommendations? Also is gua sha or any facial tool a must with them?

Facial Oil help

Majorly in K-beauty products you see a lot of plant based ingredients, specially Calendula, Houttuynia Cordata, Centella Asiatica and Green Tea.

Innisfree has ranges of Orchids, Cherry Blossom, Pomegranate. Some brands have mushroom extracts, green tangerines in replacement of artificial chemical based vitamin C serums, etc.

I feel like a few can be a bit controversial at times and some may even have those plant baded oils such as lavendar oil and other essential oils. 

What are you thoughts on this and what are some of your favourite plant based ingredients that you swear by?

Plant based Ingredients in skincare - yes or no? 🌱

Probably heard of apple a day keeps the doctor away, but honestly I was a bit shocked when I got to know about Apple Fruit Extract in skincare.

🍎 The first time I came across it was when I saw Goodal Apple AHA Clearing line. So I did my research.
🍎 Apparently Apple naturally contains AHA (Alpha-Hydroxy Acids) and Malic Acid being the most abundant. AHA as we all know help exfoliate dead skin cells, increase cell regeneration, brighten up dull skin and anti-aging benefits.
🍎 Apple Extracts is also a source of vitamin c, antioxidants and phenolic compounds which help provide anti-aging benefits. 
🍎 Currently, I am testing out the Goodal Apple AHA Clearing line so I thought I’ll drop a spotlight on the ingredient.

I wouldn’t say bad but it might break you out the first time so use it in moderation.

I was a bit scared to try it out considering I have sensitive skin but wow it did wonders for me. I use it twice a week and literally after having it on for like 10 mins my skin feels sooo sooft. I’d totally recommend it to everyone suffering from black heads, pigmentation, texture. It’s a holy grail for sure. Get it!!

This gorgeous product is just loaded with amazing brightening and soothing ingredients, it goes on well on the skin and the tiny capsules burst immediately while applying. I’ve seen considerable changes in a few pigmented areas. Will continue to use it and see the effects. Please use a sunscreen with this due to the presence of Tranexamic Acid. 

🤍 Texture: It’s a light weight, sliightly thick watery texture. 

🤍 Scent: No added fragrance or essential oil but does smell a bit earthy but the smell does not linger.

Totally worth the price point, quality and qunatity of the product.

HOLY GRAIL BABY! The ingredient list is so power packed. it’s loaded with many more hydrating ingredients like a number of Hyaluronate compounds. It absorbs so well and easy into the skin and doesn’t leave a tacky finish. Dry skin besties get this. I use it with the toner from the same range and my skin feels refreshed and hydrated. It’s my daily now, please use a HA serum on damn skin to get the best benefits. 

💦 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴:
It comes in a cardboard packaging, very pretty and sleek design. The bottle is clear glass bottle with a dropper. 

💦 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁: 
Almost subtle to no smell at all, and does not have any added fragrance. 

💦 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲: $14, 30ml 

Nothing bad about the product. It maybe a little pricey for some! 

🍃 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 
Ever since I’ve started using this cleansing balm in my night routine as a double cleanse, I haven’t touched any micellar water and I don’t think I’m going back. The texture of this balm is super luxurious like sorbet as they claim and even removes the toughest of makeup, i tested it on my toughest matte lipstick and it removed it so well without being too messy. It does not strip your skin rather leaves a hydrating finish. A definite yes for my dry skin besties! 

🍃 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲?
Scoop a small amount on your dry palms, warm it up by rubbing your hands and then massage onto dry skin. Use water to emulsify and wash away.

🍃 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴:
It comes in a tub packaging with a separate space to keep the scooper within the tub.

🍃 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁: no added fragrance or intense smell to it.

🍃 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲: $33, 90ml 

It does contain a range of essentials oils, some are good some maybe cause a reaction to some. I am an acne prone skin so I did notice a reaction but It could be purging due to the fact this was the my first vitamin c. Over time my skin loved it. Ofcourse a patch test is recommended.

The serum is mainly for brightening, tackling pigmentation and blemishes. It claims to fade them in 2 weeks, which is quite over the top tbh. Irrespective of the claims these are the improvments I noticed. Please note that these were in combination with other products I used.
- Overall improvement in skin health
- Reduction in in my PIE in a span of 1.5 months
- Some areas of pigmentation showed some improvement. 
- it absorbs well it the skin and is quite sensitive skin friendly being a plant based vitamin c serum.

It has a thick gel like consistency.
