Hi 🙋🏽‍♀️ Anyone here experienced or experiencing the same thing as well? Any suggestions on eye creams or serums that worked for you?

I saw a post on Instagram which claims that hypertrophic scar can heal by using silicone scar sheets , silicone based scar gel and retinol. Do they really help to heal the scar ?

Hypertrophic Scar

Hi guys , I would like to seek opinion on Retinol suggestions from The Ordinary for oily and dehydrated skin type. Skin breaks out and scars easily. Feels rough and bumpy too. Any suggestions of products & how + when to use it ? Current routine as below , (The Body Shop Tea tree products are used at night )and non retinol products and new moisturiser suggestions would also be appreciated as the current one doesn’t do anything.

⚠️ Fragrance &amp; Essential oils - This cleanser has a very subtle green tea-like  scent but does not contain any fragrance and essential oils.

🧼 Texture - Thick , creamy texture with small green tea leaf particles that melts into the formula as it lathers up. The colour of the cleanser is from the green tea leaves and can change over time as tea tends to change hue ( to darker green) when there is exposure to air.

🧜🏾‍♀️ Personal opinion -  This water based cleanser comes in a sleek white 120 ml tube, which is quite a good amount of cleanser for me . It lathers nicely and  creates a nice, fluffy foam. The green tea particles in the cleanser does not really do anything (not harsh as well) but it is aesthetically pleasing to see them dissolve when the cleanser is lathered. The lather is soft and gentle on the skin . After cleansing , it leaves the skin refreshed,soft and smooth. There is no tight-feeling , dryness or redness. Furthermore , it effectively cleanses sunscreen on the first cleanse itself. This cleanser deep cleanses gently.Additionally , this cleanser is great for all types of skin including sensitive , acne prone and weakened skin barrier as well . Since it has soothing and anti inflammatory benefits from green tea and centella, it works to soothe and calm the skin. Natural hyaluronic acid derived from barley and lily help to maintain optimum levels of moisture, leaving the skin locked with moisture. Besides,this cleanser also has a pH of 5.5 and ceramide which helps in maintaining a healthy skin barrier. With that being said , for me it is a great cleanser to be used for day and night . I can use this everyday, even on my not-so-good skin days as it does not aggravate acne and does not strip the skins moisture. Overall, I enjoyed using this cleanser and I would honestly recommend anyone to try this affordable cleanser This cleanser has also invoked a curiosity in me and I can’t wait to try other products from B-Lab.

There is almost nothing bad about this product.

🧜🏾‍♀️ Personal opinion - This is my first time trying a Malaysian brand ceramide moisturizer. When I first read about this moisturizer, I was curious and honestly surprised as it has many good ingredients for moisturizing and brightening in one product whilst being toner-moisturizer hybrid. Besides, it was also sold out on its official website and almost everywhere. I was lucky to get my hands on this moisturizer from an authorized seller on Shopee. This ceramide moisturizer comes in a transparent white airless pump bottle with the brand details of the moisturizer in blue. The older packaging came in a 100 ml bottle and this newer version has 65% more moisturizer. It is amazingly easy to apply this moisturizer. As it is lightweight and easily layered, I do not have to massage or wait so long for it to sink in. I can also layer it according to my skin’s needs. I usually apply it (about 1 layer) after my toner and serum. At certain nights if I am lazy to do my routine, after cleansing, I straightaway layer about 2-3 layers of this moisturizer. It replaces the need of using toner as it is a toner-moisturizer hybrid. Throughout the night, my skin stays comfortable and moisturized. Besides, it does not pill when layered with serum or sunscreen. As for the brightening effect, it was very mild to be noticed. This is a perfect summer moisturizer as it is named after, but I would say it is perfect throughout the seasons as it can be layered or mixed with other skin care products for an optimal skin barrier maintenance and anti-aging for all skin types.

My only issue with the toner is , sometimes after cleansing when i apply the toner on my skin it tends to foam a little. It disappears as quickly as I pat it in.

🧼 Texture - It has a gloopy texture. When spread on skin,it has a slick and shiny finish. It easily dries down even-though it can be slightly tacky at first .

🧜🏾‍♀️ Personal opinion -  This toner comes in a clear blue plastic bottle  with a screw top and a safety cap dispenser which  was easy to dispense. It is a 50% HA aqueous solution with aqueous ampoule formulation. This formula contains 5 types of HA with different molecular levels, works by penetrating deep into layers of skin, providing hydration layer by layer . As this is a HA toner , it is best to apply on damp skin as applying on dry skin will cause the skin to feel drier , giving a “tight” feeling. Normally,  I apply 1-2 layers of this toner before proceeding to the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Water Essence .  On the days I feel my skin needs extra attention, I use the 7 Skin Method . In short, it’s layering on three to seven layers of toner or an essence-and-toner-in-one immediately after cleansing. This method plumps my skin better and gives a post sheet mask glow. Besides hydrated &amp; plump skin, my skin is also soothed when there is any irritation or dryness.

For me , it made my skin feel a little tight at the end of the day if I use it as a moisturiser replacement.

🧜🏾‍♀️ Personal opinion - This sun cream comes in a bright yellow tube with a white screw cap . It has SPF 45 / PA +++ and has a lovely scent. This creamy sun cream can seem heavy at first but applies well without leaving a heavy feel even after moisturising my skin. It leaves a satin finish on skin which you can leave as it is or mattify it with some powder . I like how  it leaves a non sticky finish on skin while not causing my eyes to sting when applied around my eyes . Besides, it is also moisturising & can be used as a moisturiser replacement especially for oily skin types .  Overall , this is a great affordable sunscreen for daily use.

This sheet mask is pretty expensive even for a piece or a box of it which contains 5 pieces.

🟢This soothing sheet mask comes in white sealed packaging with green motives. This sheet mask helps to soothe , hydrate and calms dry , irritated skin. It doesn’t cause any dripping during application and the essence of the mask is a little thick but not sticky. After about 20-25 minutes of the mask application, my skin feels hydrated and moist. Had a pleasant experience with this sheet mask .
