So my current holy grail moisturiser is the Purito Dermide Cica Barrier Sleeping Pack, and it has been for quite some time. I use it day and night during the winter, so you might guess that my skin is incredibly dry. 

However I'd really like to cut down my skincare budget and stop buying products that have to travel the world to get to me. So, can anyone please recommend a daily moisturiser for very dry skin? Needs to be affordable and readily available in the UK. I'm also quite sensitive to fragrance and essential oils but can tolerate some (e.g. a small percentage of tea tree).

Moisturiser for DRY skin

I recently purchased The Ordinary Buffet (the normal one, not the copper one) as I wanted to try a serum with peptides & HA. I've since read about avoiding combining peptides with direct acids, which I assume would include bentaine salicylate. The Cosrx BHA liquid is one of my favourite products so this would be a shame!

When guidance says "don't use in the same routine", do they mean that you shouldn't use them both in the morning/both at night, or that you shouldn't be using both in general? 

I.e. could I use Buffet during my AM routine & BHA during my PM routine?

Or, should I try to use them on separate days? As I don't use BHA every day anyways.

Peptides & acids

After having bad experiences with vit C products in the past I am finally brave enough to try again. Please could you recommend your favourite beginner friendly serums/essences? Bonus points if they're cruelty free and essential oil free. 😊

I'm also interested in other antioxidants, such as reservatrol if you're not a vit C user.

My eyes are really sensitive to suncream, so someone recommended that I set my face with powder, meaning suncream doesn't slide down towards my eyes. 

I don't really wear makeup so could do with some advice. Do you have a favourite powder that isn't cakey looking? Can you reapply sun protection over it or does this cause pilling/strange texture? I'm also very pale so don't want to end up looking orange. 😅 Do you have a favourite type of brush for applying powder?

Does anyone have suncream recommendations for those of us with sensitive eyes? I have been using Purito unscented which my eyes don't react to, however the recent news indicates the SPF isn't actually high enough for when summer comes back around. 😟

Btw, when I say sensitive I mean that every other suncream so far has made them burn to the point I can't keep my eyes open so I can't drive safely, etc.

Must be SPF 30 or more, cruelty free and available in the UK please!

Sunscreen for stingy eyes?

- Unfortunately I have a dramatic reaction to this; my face goes bright red &amp; hot for about 40 minutes after application, so I won&#39;t be using again

- Nice consistency for application
- Absorbs quickly
- Can use this on my body over moisturiser without a reaction, &amp; I think it will help with my keratosis pilaris 
- Inexpensive

- Would be nice if the packaging was protected for UV
- No noticeable difference in my skin yet but it&#39;s early days

- Nice to apply
- No particular smell
- Gentle enough for my skin, which reacts to a wide variety of ingredients
- Lovely packaging with a larger bottle than other similar serums (although vit C does risk going bad if you take too long to use it up!)

Cons:
- No idea if it&#39;s doing anything other than adding a bit of hydration (which normal toners&#47;serums&#47;moisturisers could do)

Pros:
- Other eye creams have actually made my undereye feel drier, but this is hydrating
- Nice &amp; lightweight
- Inexpensive &amp; nice to have a product at a mainstream, accessible shop in the UK

Cons:
- As with most Inkey List products; tiny bottle!
- Slightly odd smell but I don&amp;#39;t mind this
- More of a warning than a con, but please be careful if you are new to retinoids. Start with a low percentage once per week.

Pros:
- Good stepping stone in building up retinol tolerance
- Nice texture, spreads easily
- Works well in sandwich technique 
- No bad reactions so long as I let my face dry first &amp;amp; use sandwich technique

I&#39;ve heard some bad press about the UV filters in this being quite narrow. Would suggest researching this yourself if you require very strong protection.

Also need a bigger bottle!!

Love this. Leaves a really nice dewy finish but not greasy. My eyes are very sensitive to suncream but I only get very slight irritation with this if I apply it too close, so is the best I&#39;ve tried by miles.
