Some haircare tips/hacks (own experience)

● If your moisturizer or cream is thick or heavy and you want to thin it down , DO NOT ADD WATER . Many people do this which disrupts the preservated composition . So , you have two options : ( A ) Add hydrosol / distillate of your choice . They are already preserved so it won't cause any issue . However , I still prefer that you store these hydrosols / distillates in separate spray / mist bottle and add them to cream / moisturizer everytime you want to apply them . ( B ) If you want to use water to thin down the formula , its a little bit of extra work . Add ( 1 % Phenoxyethanol + 0.5 % Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate ) to deionized water and mix them thoroughly . Add this mixture to your cream . Now its perfecf , but with lot of extra work and also cost of buying these ingredients just to use them in small percentages . So , better go for hydrosols.

● There are lot of people who combine two products on their palms or sometimes , even worse , in one bottle / jar . Stop doing this first of all . The products are made with precise amount of actives and preservatives . When you add something extra , this composition gets compromised . Also , some ingredients may nullify effects of each other or may cause irritation when combined.

● How to hydrate lips without using a separate product ? Well , dampen the lips ( with water obviously , pls don't lick them lol ) , apply Hyaluronic Acid Toner/Serum and then apply an occlusive moisturizer. I've been doing this, especially in extreme weather when my lips start bleeding.

● Rinse off your micellar water, respectfully. If you don’t rinse the micellar water, there are always some molecules soaked with dirt and bacteria lingering on your skin that can be a source of irritation and inflammation.

● Transfer your moisturizer from jar to empty pump dispenser . That will be hygienic and also time saving.

● Rather than using soaked cotton pads to apply toner , layer your toner multiple times . Because cotton pads soak up a lot product which leads to wastage.

● If you are using toner pads (readily available) cut them according to your needs so you don't have to use more than required amount. And also it will last longer. You can also use them as under-eye mask or spot treatment.

● If you watery toner or micellar water foams up, tranfer it into foaming dispenser for better application.

● If your skin is too sensitive and can't take too many actives at once , focus on hydrating toner / essences . Use one active i.e. Vitamin C , Arbutine , Niacinamide etc in one routine . And switch this serums on daily or weekly basis or may be every three days . And then use basic moisturizer ( preferably with ceramides or soothing ingredients ) based on your skin type.

● If you're using milk cleanser / cleansing lotion , add "finely ground" chickpea flour IN THE AMOUNT OF PRODUCT YOU'VE DISPENSED IN YOUR PALM and not in the bottle of cleanser . Aaaand voila ... you have a lovely scrub ready !!! Make sure not to use this daily . Especially when you are going to use chemical exfoliator . (I know said not to add anything to products which is not preserved , but since its a wash - off step , its fine)

<<Edit : Regarding the 1st point, this method is suitable only if the moisturizer is very basic containing humectants and occlusives.

Suppose it has vitamin c 3%, then adding anything to the formula will reduce vitamin c's overall percentage. So it will definitely affect the effectiveness of the product. I would've clarified it better.

Usually from what we see, moisturizers are basically water soluble. So its fine to add these water soluble ingredients. However, if they are oil soluble, then we have to add emulsifier in the product. So that it binds water and oil together. However, on the basis of emulsifier we choose, we have to decide its percentage.

Also, to people who say this will destroy the composition, adding anything to the product will do that. At least the things I've mentioned are safe to use and they won't affect the preservation.>>

A must have hydration-bomb!!!

I've sensitive, dry to combination skin. It made my skin so glowing and supple.

I sometimes layer it in winters but in summer, 1 layer is enough.

In every winter, I get dark patches around my mouth, probably bcz of dehydration, and my skin becomes too dry and itchy. So I just apply it on damp skin and within few days my skin recoveres to healthy state.

In summer, it gives me enough hydration without any sticky feel and also gives a refreshing feeling.

It also has soothing properties (keep in mind, this is not a soothing product though). It calms my skin when its slightly irritated bcz of extreme cold or heat.

It prevents breakouts on my skin as well bcz of its extremely hydrating properties which maintain great level of hydration in my skin throughout the day.

Also, it doesn't have any harmful ingredients, so its safe for even super-sensitive skin.

But, for oily skin, they should check whether its too heavy or not, or may be they should go for another version "Isntree hyaluronic acid toner" (NOT PLUS).

Make sure you apply this on damp skin bcz hyaluronic acid draws and attracts water from the environment into your skin (It attracts 1,000 times it's weight in water). So if this moisture-loving little guy can't draw water from the environment, it will draw it from your skin. Which will result into "trans epidermadel water loss". Which means, it will make deep layers of your skin dehydrated.

I've repurchased it again and again and will repurchase in future also. I don't think it will ever loose its place in my skincare routine.

🧖‍♀️My Experience :

I've been using this for few weeks. It spreads nicely on skin but takes a little bit to get absorbed fully. Also it feels like you are applying a lightweight oil but it's not skicky and doesn't leave an oily film. It gives instant glow to skin. However, I feel like it makes my skin a little warm. I can feel the heat on my skin. Though it doesn't irritate my skin. But I prefer to apply a soothing serum or gel afterwards so that my skin calms down.

During this weeks, I've noticed that it has made my skin a little brighter and even-toned. I have few old dark spots which have no effect of this serum or even 15% Vitamin C serum. But I guess I'll have to be more patient for that result. I'll update it for sure.

However, my sister's (Oily) skin has significantly changed in this few weeks. We both incorporated 15% Vitamin C serum, 2% Arbutine Serum & 8% AHA Essence at the same time. Her skin was pretty uneven-toned and tanned, which improved significantly. But I think its not because of this serum only as we know AHAs play important role in evening out skin tone.

In nutshell, it gives glow to skin but I guess it will take time to reduce dark spots and other issues.


I don't think I've noticed any changes because of this product in terms of reducing blemishes. I hsve to use 10% Niacinamide serum which reduces my blemishes.

🧖🏻‍♀️My Experience :

Well, first of all, A LOT OF CLAIMS. I bought this toner when I read it has fermented rice water. Because DIY rice water doesn't suit my skin even though I wanna incorporate it in my routine so bad🥲

It has 3% Niacinamide which is sufficient to act upon blemishes. However, the whole formula and your skin type always play essential role in giving any result.

It's very affordable toner so I thought it would be better to layer upon my skin. Well, it didn't disappoint me though. I layer it 2-3 times and it doesn't feel heavy. But... honestly it just sinks in my skin like no other product but I don't feel it hydrates my skin. I follow it by my hyaluronic acid toner (2 layers) and my skin looks supple. So, this toner doesn't show any change in my skin's suppleness.

However, it has improved my skin texture a little bit.

You can layer this toner and use it to prep your skin for next steps. Because one thing I've observed is, whenever I apply this toner, other products sink in my skin with better absorption.

Also, it has just 3% Niacinamide, which is great if you are starting with Niacinamide or you have sensitive skin. And its suitable for all skin types. So enjoy~

I don't think i will repurchase this. I feel like it didn't do anything and as i mentioned, glow is also very subtle or may be it was just my hallucination, lol.

Also, when I applied this in winter and skipped my hyaluronic acid toner for hydration, this product gave me dark itchy patches, may its too strong for my dry to combination sensitive skin.

Texture : Watery
Scent : Citrusy (No artificial fragrance added)
Colour : Yellowish transparent

Didn't break me out in summers. But in winter, you have to use other hydrating and moisturizing products, otherwise your skin will get dried out.

Gives very very subtle glow to the skin. Recommended to use by mixing with other toner or moisturizer, i think it gives more benefits this way. Not sure about hydration.
