Have you ever tried bamboo skincare? Would you ever use that product again?

When I think of bamboo, I think of snack that giant pandas munch on. But bamboo can also be used in skincare. In fact, bamboo is a popular star ingredient in korean skincare because of its’ many benefits:

𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴
Bamboo is made up of 70% natural silica, making it the richest natural source of essential minerals. Silica binds to the protein molecules that contribute to the skin’s ability to hold on to water, something people with dehydrated skin may struggle with. 

𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
Almost all plants have antioxidants properties and, while bamboo falls under the category, it isn’t the strongest out there. If you’re specifically looking for an antioxidant, green tea is a classic. 

𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴
Bamboo is a beneficial ingredient for those who suffer from acne-prone skin as it has been proven to promote wound healing. 
The outer layer of the skin acts as a barrier against bacteria, grease, and pollution. These can clog pores and triggers inflammation, resulting in the formation of acne. Pollution can also weaken the skin barrier making it prone to more inflammations and irritations.

Bamboo extract can leave the skin with a greater strength and firmness, which is perfect for a damaged skin barrier and acne-prone skin.

In traditional Chinese medicine, bamboo was often used on cuts and wounds to promote would healing. Basically, it was used to make cuts and infections heal faster!

Recently I’ve been using this neck cream, and I wanted to share a lil review here on picky!

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
A thread-like neck cream that contains low molecular collagen to boost skin elasticity, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and brighten skin.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
It's got an interesting goey consistency but it's messy and hard to work with. It’s kinda has a cheesy stretch to it?¿ it’s really weird to touch 💀 anyways once it’s applied to your skin, it does take a few minutes to fully absorb into my skin, but it is intensely moisturising! I love how it keeps my skin moisturised for a lot longer than a regular moisturiser. Medi-Peel say that for full results, they recommend massaging it into your neck. I just put it on because the hydration it gives me is enough. 

EDIT: I forgot to add this but it has a really weird scent to it.. reminds me of the smell of glue? It’s not super strong, but it’s definitely noticeable.

I loved how moisturised and nourishing it felt on my skin! It's a whole 100ml tub so it'll probably last a long time :’)

What do you think of this texture?!

I&#39;m not a fan of creams that come in containers... I think it’s a little unhygienic. However, it does come with a mini spatula you can use to take out the product. Some brands don&#39;t even include the spatula :&#39;)

Moving aside all the fancy ingredients, this is superrr hydrating and moisturising! It is a gel cream, but i&#39;d say it leans more towards a creamy moisturiser. It also has niacinamide, panthenol (vitamin B5), hyaluronic acid, and 7 types of ceramides. I feel like the ceramides really helped to repair my skin barrier. Before, I was exfoliating my skin way too much and my skin ended up becoming super sensitive, especially to sunlight. My skin becomes less red and irritated + this cream gives me an extra boost of hydration! 
It&#39;s got a faint but noticeable tangerine scent to it, which makes sense because it&#39;s literally orange. I&#39;m a sucker for citrus scents so ofc I love the smell :)

It’s easy to use, and its’ shape makes it so much easier to get sun protection on to difficult areas on my face (eyes, etc). It’s lightweight and doesn’t leave a greasy film on my skin. It’s quite wide, so this can also be used on your body.

It’s more hydrating than I thought it would be! I was interested in Benton’s deep green tea line because many people claimed it to be soothing and non-irritating for their skin. Which, it was, but its’ Hydration was what got me hooked. Generally, toners aren’t a necessary step in a skincare routine because most are useless, unless they are formulated with an active ingredient. I use toners mainly for hydrating purposes, and this one is super hydrating!!

Apparantly, its suppoed to have brightening effect too but i dont see any.

Other than that, i have no issues with this serum :)
