I was doing my routine, put on a thick moisturizer and I opened my bottle of retinol (G&G A-Game 5) and strongly pressed the pump… now, this bottle has a very strong pump so you have to be gentle with it to get the pea sized amount of retinol. I pressed the pump way too hard, forgetting that I needed to be gentle… I ended up with a cherry sized amount 😩
Anyway I used the normal amount on my face and I buffed the remaining with my moisturizer and put it on my face and neck… hope it’ll be okay. 
Can someone share their experience with overusing retinol?

Guys, I used way too much retinol 😱

What do you guys do? Do you apply cream before using retinal/retinol or afterwards? OR cream-retinal-cream method? I’m still confused how to use vitamin A correctly, if there’s a correct way. I usually wash my face, hydrate, moisturize and then apply my retinal and top it off with another layer of cream. However I feel like it’s not very effective… and I’ve been doing this for 3 months now…

Edit: I use it once a week.

It helps a little with acne but not much. You have to use this consistently, like everyday to see a difference. People who are used to BHA, don’t use this, you wouldn’t feel a difference in your skin.

Nah, it was an ok product, I used this when I had inflamed pimples because it was calming. As an exfoliating product, it was a disappointment for me. But I guess this is really tiered for people with really really sensitive skin.


❗️I recommend it to all skin types. VERY sensitive skin people who never tried BHA before, this might work for you. This won’t do much for acne-prone skin tbh.❗️

✅PROS✅
I would recommend it to people who never used BHA before because this is very gentle. Also teens with sensitive skin (I’m a teen with sensitive skin but this didn’t do much lol, this shows YMMV). It calmed down the pimples this next day, maybe reduced them a little.

It didn’t do anything to blackheads, but reduced the sebum on my nose and forehead. Also pretty calming, if my skin is irritated this calms it down pretty well.

The hydration is ok too, don’t expect this to deliver your daily hydration because it’s pretty weak in that area.

I like its finish, it’s clean no dewyness, stickiness or greasiness. This makes it very easy to layer with other products.

I have severe eczema on my fingers so it stung a lot when I applied it but it’s not the product’s fault (most of my skincare products stings my hands anyway). 
The little capsules could aggravate very sensitive skin, be sure to rub it very gently.
Oh, it’s a bit lacking in the hydration department but I don’t find it disadvantageous because I have my hydrating serums for that.

This serum hands down one of the most effective skincare products I have ever tried! It really lives up to its claims!!

It’s made out of transparent glass, feels very sleek and luxurious. The dropper is also good, it picks up the product easily and the rubber part is not too stiff.

It’s fragrance and essential oil free. It has no scent at all! Very optimal for scent-sitive noses.

💧TEXTURE💧
It has a slightly runny texture but it’s not watery. It’s light and absorb very quickly. It’s not sticky/tacky. It feels very refreshing, perfect for the warmer weather. However, it’s only moderately hydrating. I wouldn’t depend on this for hydration.

This product right here is so good at reducing and healing acne!!! Like the next day my pimples look so much smaller!! And it straight up dries the very small pimples thus they are gone after washing your face. You will surely notice a difference in your skin if you use it continuously (only this and a cream).

I’ve also noticed that my complexion is slightly brighter and the skin color is more even! The new zits heal so much faster and fades light hyperpigmentation left by acne.

This product was not harsh or sensitizing at all, it was even a little calming as well. Even when my skin was very red and sensitive it didn’t hurt at all!
And since it’s light and absorbs fast it doesn’t interfere with any of my products.

For all skin types!! Especially for acne-prone skin! Sensitive skin don’t be afraid to use this because it’s really gentle but very effective!

One of my favorite product of this year!!! My one and only babe! It’s surprisingly soothing and when you start to rub it in your skin it turns into a light weight lotion on your skin. It contains macadamia seed oil and white green tea leaf extract and a high amount of glycerin. I use it as a toner, I usually apply 2 layers then move on to the essence&#47;serum step and moisturizer on top. Although I can do up to 3-4 skins and then just put a cream on top.

Because of this I used up this cream in 2,5 months.

No. I found my holy grail moisturizer so I won’t be buying this unless it’s sold for less then $10.

❗️I recommend it for all skin type except for very dry skin. For dry skin I recommend it for warmer weather and for combination skin only in the colder weather or in the evenings. Oily skin types would be happy with this one in the winter or they could try the brands gel version of this cream.❗️

ILLIYOON ATO CONCENTRATE CREAM

This cream is very highly-raved in this beauty community. With it encapsulated ceramide and light texture many falls in love with it. Unfortunately this is just an ok cream for me which I can’t see myself repurchasing.

Simple plastic tube with a flip off cap. The opening is IMO is a little bit small, it’s harder to squeeze out the product when you nearly used it all up. You can just twist the cap off so the product comes out easier because the opening is bigger.

💨SCENT💨
Smells like unscented skincare lol. There’s no smell to it, maybe smell a bit chemical-like. It is fragrance and essential oil free.

☁️TEXTURE☁️
Fluffy light cream texture. It’s not thick and emollient. It looks thick at first but when you spread it around it feels light on your skin and absorbs fairly quickly.

💵PRICE💵
This is a very cost efficient product. For $20 you get 200ml of product.

It’s not over emollient and oily. Spreads really nicely and feels very soft on the skin. It creates a light and breathable moisture film on your face. It’s also just enough moisturizing for most skin types. It has a semi-matte finish&#47;look.

I like it because it’s so simple and gently. It never irritated my skin when it was sensitive.
The ceramide capsules were cool and they popped easily. It never scratched my skin or hurt it.

It works very well as a hand cream. It absorbs very well into my hands and leaves it non-sticky. My hand doesn’t make my phone tacky when I touch it after applying this. ✋🤚

🔅CONS🔅
Ok so many know I hate dewy&#47;glowy sunscreens. This really won me over with its glowy look while having a neutral finish. 

HOWEVER, sounds weird but you can definitely over-apply this. It will feel slightly emollient and thick on your skin . If you apply too much in one go it looks like a white mess on your skin. So little by little. Also if you apply too much at once it will not really dry down, so again, apply little by little. 
It also works better with skincare under because without it it feels tacky and sticky (just feels like it will never dry down). 

This is not a feather-light sunscreen so 
I recommend wearing a light moisturizer underneath it because otherwise it will look too shiny and feel little heavy.

REPURCHASE?😶
I’ve bought 2 tubes of this at the first order so I won’t buy more any soon. I need like 2 months to empty this but using along with my Biore sunscreen it takes a little longer than that.


❗️I really think this is more like a winter sunscreen. I don’t know how this will work in hot humid weather since it’s still kinda cool where I live. I don’t recommend it to oily skin. This would feel heavy for them. This never aggravated my acne. I also recommend it to sensitive skin since it’s very mild, but keep in mind this has alcohol in it. 
It would perform best on dry and combination skin.❗️

It is sleek and soft. It has sturdy and cool looking cap. I love how pretty this sunscreen looks. It’s quite portable and small sized for a 90g product.

This has a very sunscreen smell! It will definitely remind you of the beach because of its smell. No, it doesn’t smell like coconuts, it’s fragrance and essential oil free.

Soft creamy texture. Spread really well and blends into the skin easily. However, it is slightly brightening due to zinc oxide. I have medium skin tone and I noticed my skin looked slightly brighter (it’s not exactly a white cast). It has a dewy finish where it is NOT GREASY. Like how did they do this?

I bought it for $29 on Japanesetaste’s website. It was the best price with the best shipping fee IMO (at least to my country, not US).

It has a very glowy finish. My skin looks pretty when I have it on. It looks like I have makeup or a filter on because my skin is so bright and slightly blurred. 
It is dewy but not oily&#47;greasy or uncomfortable to wear. It dries down semi-matte. It’s almost skin-like.
There’s no white cast (at least for me), on my skin I would just call it a brightened effect. 

They also claim it’s friction proof, so like it will stay very firmly on your skin throughout the day, which I can say it lived up to it! 

I found the percentage of its sunscreen filters!
