This stuff WORKS. It's sticky and doesn't run into my eyes. I use it when I'm biking or trail running.for extended periods of time, and need something to hold up to sweating and direct sunlight.

As a melanin challenged person (scott/irish), I usually get my first burn of the year in February. In the cloudy pacific northwest. That said, I have a pretty high bar for sunscreen, especially facial sunscreen. I've tried em all, sticky, greasy, white cast, tinted... this is none of that. It's light and milky, and absorbs fast without leaving a white cast. It's one of the least shiny sunscreens I've tried, and feels like a lightweight moisturizer. It's SPF 50 and super effective. Definitely my new favorite.

I like using mineral sunscreens because I generally find them more protective. It's tough to find one that isn't sticky or looks like stage makeup though, especially one that doesn't break out my skin. I tried Dr Jarts spf50 because I need at least that SPF, and have heard good things about it. I really liked the texture of this product, and found a slight white cast, but that seemed to be really minimal after rubbing it in. Granted, I already have very pale skin, so that probably helps camouflage the color. I really like it and for a mineral sunscreen think it performs really well. I'm not sure there's a true mineral sunscreen out there that doesn't have a white cast- zinc and titanium oxide are both opaque white substances! I feel this does a good job of not being too noticeable.
