Skincare Ins and Outs of 2024?

Has anyone ever “won” a giveaway they didn’t participate in then had issues with the item not shipping and then Picky repeatedly sending forms about submitting a review when the giveaway item never arrived? Or am I in a super rare situation?

Smells of alcohol but it helps with the elegant smoothness of the formula. It is a chemical sunscreen so you do have to wait a bit for it to create a film before going out. Maybe not the best for oily skin types because while the finish is extremely lightweight, it still feels slightly oily.

Texture is “airy” and liquidy. Feels cool to the touch. Seems to absorb quickly without leaving a cast. High protection factor and broad spectrum. Very emollient and doesnt appear to pill after long wear with makeup. Seems very hydrating and dewy for dry skin types like mine.

I rarely say nothing but honestly this might be a new staple item.

This cleanser is so perfect for sensitive skin types because of all the soothing ingredients in it. No overpowering scent. It’s vegan and cruelty-free. 🌱🐇

And the texture is unlike any other cleanser I’ve used before. It’s emulsifying and feels like a fluffy foam and lotion at the same time. It’s also reminiscent of that gooey yam root, nagaimo? Despite the startchy feel, it contains no gluten which is another great thing for those with that allergy. It gives me a gentle and moisturizing cleanse that feels surprisingly satisfying even without lathering up in the way a lot cleansers do. 

Feature ingredients for their soothing and skin-conditioning properties:

💟 arnica

Also oat flour and panthenol. ☺️

This product came in right when I was out of my Rovectin Skin Essentials Activating Treatment Lotion so I was super excited to try it. The feature ingredients in @choc_choc_us Rice Power Essence are:
✨ 55.1% rice bran extract for brightening
✨ Idebenone as an anti-oxidant
✨ Mushroom collagen for firming
✨ Madecassoside&#47;centella Asiatica for soothing
✨ Beta glucan as a humectant 

I also love the airless pump packaging! Its so unique. 

I’ve been using it for days now and my dry skin just drinks it up. It’s more lightweight than my last essence which makes it super good for layering. Definitely non-irritating and aroma neutral so it is ideal for even sensitive skin types. I love the inclusion of snow mushroom extract because it can be a more hydrating ingredient than hyaluronic acid. 😻

Since I use essences so much as an essential step in my skincare routine for skin balancing, I wish it came in a larger bottle but that is my main and only gripe. 

I apply this product while I have eye&#47;lip&#47;concealer on but no foundation. It feels super refreshing on my tired skin. After I wash my makeup off, I do plan on reapplying this essence on my full face before applying my moisturizer.

Do I plan on purchasing it when I run out? Since it is within the similar price point as my last essence, works just as well, and it’s vegan, definitely! 🤍🤍🤍

Slightly pricier than some of the other brands I use but well worth it.

This a good sunscreen for anyone who has drier skin but may not want super emollient and dewy sunscreen. Also suitable for sensitive types. This one has a very non-greasy natural finish without a cast or shimmer. Higher SPF factor but it doesn’t really feel that much heavier than the Shimmer Sun Essence. Reapplication is comfortable and doesn’t pill. No noticeable fragrance. Doesn’t sting the eyes.

Haven’t found a downside to this holy grail product yet.

If this cleanser were a person, I would marry it. I look forward to washing my face because of this product. I feel like I’m bathing my face in milk but I am doing so guilt free because it’s vegan and made of oat milk and probiotics. Non-greasy, non-stripping, affordable, perfectly emulsifying, balancing and nourishing, what’s not to love? Oh, and its light aroma is so nice too. Definitely will be sticking with this one for a while.
