I’ve had a few discussions about keratosis pilaris, yet no one seems to touch open having it on your cheeks. I am in need of desperate help! Normally my skin isn’t that terrible in the morning, but it becomes red/irritated(you can see the KP bumps clearly) through out the day as I wear a mask for 6+ hours. If I had clear skin would the same still happen? However, my main concern is HOW TO GET RID of Keratosis Pilaris on your CHEEKS! I have a skin routine posted which you can check out, but it does not do much for my KP. I’d love some help about info/ingredients/whatever that would be of assistance to my KP! I prefer NO acids 🤍🤍🤍

I Have Keratosis Pilaris On My Face: What To Do?

Hello! I’ve been struggling with some skin “concerns” and I don’t have a lot of knowledge on skin care! If you were to give advice or recommend products, I would prefer no fragrances, alcohol, or other harmful products.

1. Redness 
In the attached photos, you may see the patch of redness on my cheeks. This is normally always apparent or there, but my cheeks gets EXTREMELY red very easily! When I am hot and I believe even from stress. (After taking an important test my cheeks were tomato red!) It will never be my entire face, more my cheeks and sometimes only patches of it. It may happen to both cheeks, but even occurs only on one cheek! (This will always be my left cheek which is the photo with pimples) I have color correcting cream, but it really bothers me and I am not sure what to do. 

2. Texture 
I very obviously don’t have glass skin (though I would love to) and if you look at these photos you can tell. I have grown up having Keratosis Pilaris, which I am pretty sure that is what these bumps are, but is there anyway to get rid of them or lessen the appearance? I have been told that there is no cure, but I am curious. All of my skin issues bother me and I would love to fix them! 

3. Pimples 
In past, when I get any pimples, I normally don’t do anything to them. However any pimples I receive are normally “blind pimples,” which are just red bumps with no head. In the photo with the very visible pimple, I have both a blind pimple and a white head. How could I resolve both? In the other photo, though you might not see it, I have some large bumps that are not red. Are they pimples?

Redness, Texture, and Pimples!

I’ve had keratosis pilaris for most of my life. I don’t think my skin is dry or sensitive, but it is not oily. Starting a skin care routine definitely helped my skin, but that didn’t do very much for my KP. I have KP on my face and arms. Does anyone have any product suggestions? Specifically for my face, but I do need help for my arms as well. (I also prefer little to no ‘acids’) :)

Keratosis Pilaris: What To Do?

Hi everyone!!! I’ve had numerous conversations about keratosis pilaris on Picky, but it has honestly never been that bad. For the last year I have been experimenting with gluten and dairy free diets specifically for KP. However, over the summer I chose to take a break. My skin was fine, a few pimples and maybe it was dry, but nothing drastic. just recently i noticed my bumps are a LOT worse!!! i have no idea why, i didn’t change anything. I’ve actually been getting back into the diet!! I attached a photo from over the summer and then some recent photos to show the change. If anyone knows why this is happening and what I can do, let me know!
I also have a problem where my cheeks will often get red. I am not sure if it is roseaca!? Either way, I always have a slight red patch on my cheek. Over the summer it was fine! I’d love any advice, thank you!

KP BREAK OUT ?!?

I have been having some skin reaction from wearing my mask. This happens more after many hours instead of shorter periods of times. In the morning, my skin is quite clear! However, wearing my mask causes my skin to becomes red and it feels rough, in a way. I’m not sure if there’s a way to stop or help this, but does anyone have any tips? :)
