I feel left out because everyone else seems to love this and I want to too lol. Feels like milk to me when poured onto my hand and that’s fine it’s no problem to me, but once on my face I don’t feel that hydrated. It just feels really average? I don’t dislike it, but I kinda feel nothing with it. And so $22 (usd) to not feel much is too much $ spent on it for me.

I don’t think the smell is bad, but I do like to note what the smell is like. This might be a weird way to describe it, but it smells a bit like doughnuts… but stale doughnuts lol.

Just not for me I guess, I’m glad it looks like a great option for other sensitive skin though!

I love the ingredients and how this is fragrance free. It feels very gentle and lightweight, so I think this really can suit sensitive skin. I also like the packaging.

These cons aren’t too bad, but I’ll still note a few things. I kinda don’t like its natural scent lol. It’s thankfully not strong and doesn’t linger, so it’s not too much of a con. The texture is also a bit grainy, which doesn’t bother me, but might throw off others. The product also might separate? Like sometimes you squeeze and rather than just the balm, a bit of oil comes out, but shaking the bottle fixes this for me.

I think this does a good job removing my makeup or just spf. I think it’s easy to use and it has never irritated my skin. I notice some people saying they feel it leaves a film after, and I’ve experienced that weird film feeling with a different makeup remover (Pond’s Cold Cream), but I never felt that with this. I don’t find this difficult to wash off too. I also think it’s a plus that it’s in a squeezy tube, which I see is also not a plus for others, but for me it squeezes out fine and makes it easier especially if I feel like I need to apply more. For the price ($9.99 usd) you can’t go wrong with trying this out. I think it’s a great option if you’re on a budget or if you need to recommend a first step&#47;oil-based cleanser for a beginner! :)

I purchased every product from the “Rules of Mastic” line, but this is my favorite. With my dry skin type, I feel like it needs help from a toner or serum before the moisturizer. That’s not a bad thing of course, since we want to make sure I’m hydrated first and many love to layer, but there were some nights where I washed my face and then all I applied after was this cream, and my skin looked great. It’s amazing to me that it performs well on its own. I’d wake up with skin soft and glowing! I never experienced any irritation from this product. There’s a citrus like scent, but it was light and faded. I bought like four jars and used up all of them. I’m trying other moisturizers now, because I wanted to try to find easier to access options, but I might go back to this.

I don’t know if I need to continue using this product more, but I don’t think it will get any better from what I’ve already experienced. Because what I’m experiencing is oddly literally nothing lol. I prep my skin, wait a bit before applying this, then I apply this and it feels alright and has a subtle glow at first. But then after a few minutes it’s as if I didn’t put on anything. I don’t mean that in a positive way. There is no visible difference to my skins appearance and no difference to how my skin feels. Like, “Where did you go? What did you even do? Hello?” I don’t know if I’ve felt a product literally do nothing like this before. 😅 I don’t think I have any problems with the ingredients so I’m really not sure what the problem is. Hopefully someone has better luck?

Well... It didn’t irritate my skin or make me breakout.

The essential oils part was a little intimidating to me, even if reduced. I know a lot of us prefer to avoid it, but the reality is that some people are okay with it. Personally I’m in between. In the past some skin care with essential oils have been okay, but others irritating. So overall I’d rather avoid the risk and would rather not use stuff with essential oils, but I’m not completely scared of it.

It would be nice for Klairs to reduce the use of essential oils even more or none at all.

This product claims to moisturize and hydrate dry, sensitive skin with a non-greasy finish. This renewed version is said to have more product, improved packaging, and reduced essential oils. 

I can’t speak on what the product is like before the renewed version, but packaging is part of my first impression and I like it a lot! Simple design and a squeezy tube, but it’s similar to a toothpaste tube and it feels like I’ll be able to squeeze most of the product out.

Using this in the most simple PM routine way (cleanse and moisturize, that’s it) to see how it performs on its own, it’s decent. But I prefer and think it does better with the help of a toner underneath it. I wake up with my skin still moisturized and soft. No shine or greasyness.

Maybe I feel like it’s only “decent” on its own, because as a dry skin type I prefer moisturizers giving me some oiliness and shine lol. It doesn’t do that for me, but that’s not a con because it means the “non-greasy” claim is true and not all dry skin types want shine.

Most importantly, I thankfully experienced no irritation or break out.

Four stars because I think I can choose something even more moisturizing for my preference of wanting oiliness. But otherwise this is a great moisturizer that I’ll gladly use up and possibly repurchase! More like five stars if you’re opposite of me and don’t like shine. :)
