There are actually 2 kinds of pores on your body Oil Pores/hair follicles & Sweat Pores. 

😓 Sweat Pores~are very tiny & can’t be seen with the naked eye but are all over our body & and of course produce our sweat. Since we can’t see them must of us don’t really think about them at all.

💦 Oil Pores~ can be found all over 
your body accept the palms of your hands & the soles of your feet. When people talk about enlarged pores or clog pores they are actually referring to oil pores

💦 Oil pores are at the opening of our hair follicles & sebaceous glands, which are responsible for producing the oils that lubricate &moisturize our skin.

Why do I have enlarged pores? 

🧬 Genetics~ Unfortunately as most issues with our body & skin we inherit enlarged pores, but to worry we can prevent increasing the size of them.

☀️ Sun damage ~Repeated exposure to to UV rays can damage collagen & elastic tissue In the skin, which can increase the size of the pores.

🧼Clog Pores~ In some cases clogged pores can actually change the size of the pore itself by Overstretching the elastin & collagen around it.
If a pore is unclogged quickly & properly, it will go back to its original size.

🧼Extraction~ While it seems harmless and very satisfying to extract or pop a pimple, if it’s not done the proper way, you can actually cause damage and deepen the clogged pore or cause broken capillaries. Also can cause your face to break out even more. 

Can I shrink my pores?
Most of the time when people talk about shrinking their pores they are talking about clearing a pore or unclogging it. Which makes them less noticeable.

How can I clear/unclog my pores~
Retinol~ Is a powerful anti aging & acne ingredient that has been proven to help clear pores by increasing cell turnover.

Glycolic acid (a type of AHA) or salicylic acid (BHA):~These two ingredients are powerful exfoliators that help remove dead skin cells and clear pores of pollutants.

Extraction ~ One of the most effective ways of clearing clogged pores or blackheads is extraction. I always recommend having it done professionally by a experienced esthetician.
It is very easy if not done properly to cause damage to your pore & skin.

Steam~ Steaming your face helps flush out dirt & oils to the surface of your face. Contrary to popular opinion, steam does not open your pores, because they are always open. It helps relaxes the muscles under your skin and makes it easier to clean, so it can help you get out dirt that’s trapped deep inside.

🚨Tip~ I recommend using a gentle cleanser after omg steaming & then a good moisturizer. Don’t steam too often it can cause your face to dry out. 
You can just use water to steam your face, I personally use #klei - Calm Spearmint & Lavender Floral Facial Steam
It helps clear your clog pores & moisturizes at the same time.

Pore strips~are very satisfying but they only remove the surface of the blackhead and minimize the look of the pore for a short time.

Winter is a tuff time on our skin. 
I suffer from roseca, eczema and in winter months my skin tends to be super dry.
Here are some tips that I use to keep my skin hydrated and healthy during these months.
Even though winter is coming to close I would love to hear some your your tips for winter skin care? 

Winter Skin Care Tips~

☀️￼Sunscreen- Even though it’s not summer you still need sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful uv rays. If your looking for a good sunscreen I recommend  #Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40

💦￼ Humidifier~ The rising thermostat indoors causes dry air that sucks themoisture right out of your body. My dermatologist recommended that I Use  
 a humidifier in my bedroom in, to help keep my skin hydrated. I keep my humidifier on my bed side table aimed towards my face as I sleep. It has reallyhelp keep my skin hydrated all  year long especially in the cold months.
    
    
🚨 Tip~ If you get a humidifier get one that you can add scent pads too.       
You can get vics vapor rub scent    
pads that help with your sinus or 
essential oil pads. You can get a

💧￼Drink Up~ We tend to loose moisture more often during the winter months.
In the summer I’m super active and I 
drink on a minimum of 4-5 bottles of   water. In the winter months I’m just not  
as thirsty and find I find my myself  
drinking less. I use crystal light lemonade    
packs in my water to help me drink more.

🚿￼Limit Shower Time~ It may be tempting to take a long, steamy shower, but your skin will be much better served with a 5- to 10-minute lukewarm shower (or bath), as the AAD suggests. Hot water dries out your skin by stripping it of its natural oils. Blot your skin dry and apply a thick moisturizer within a few minutes after bathing to seal the water into the skin. 
This is the one Tip that is hard for me to   
follow. I Love a hot shower after being out in the cold.


👗￼Dress Smart~ when heading outside, Make sure you bundle up and Protect your skin from the elements by wearing gear like scarfs, hats and gloves. Avoid materials that might irritate the skin. If you feel itchy under your favorite wool sweater wear a thin, breathable shirt underneath, or switch to a different material like fleece.

👉￼Modify Your Skin Care Rountine~The key to having healthy and glowing winter skin is using mild skin care products. Choose cleansers that contain moisturizers to avoid stripping your skin of its natural moisture barrier. I use a cream-based cleansers, and apply toners and astringents sparingly during the winter, if at all. Many astringents contain alcohol, which can further dry your skin. When your skin is dry and itchy, the AAD recommends you stop using products that contain alcohol and fragrances in order to help skin retain its natural oils. At night, use a richer moisturizer on your face.

💭Thoughts~i got this as a gift and I have used the entire bottle.
I highly recommend this to anybody with oily, and acne prone skin. People with sensitive skin, dry skin and  rosacea like I have should use it sparingly, as it can cause dryness. I use it up to 3 to 4 times a week on my face &amp; neck, if I use over that and my face will start to get dry. Afterwards I use grace and Stella hyaluronic serum and then Elemis  moisturizer.
I love it, even though i have to be careful, it leaves my face feel renewed, acne free and soft, and it’s only $10.00.

This was a amazing mask.
Left my face super soft and glowing the next morning.

I got as a gift from my husband and it quickly became a must have in my makeup bag.
This is my favorite lip plumping gloss, it’s not sticky and leaves your lips feeling soft.

Sunscreen is the one of the keys to anti-aging,  prevention of sun damage and rosacea&#47;acne flare ups and of course skin cancer. 
When I was younger I was a sun 🌞 worshiper.
