Hard not to love the treatment options in the endless serums out there - but how many is too many to use in one routine? Do you like to pack your routines full of serums (free from conflicting ingredients, of course!) or do you keep it simple?

Anti-Holy Grail?

I received these products for free from Picky and NEOGEN in exchange for my honest opinion

Okay I just have to say this was the cutest box of minis!!! Even came with adorable stickers - in love!

Now let’s get into it 

Bio-Peel pads:
I’m not usually a fan of exfoliation pads (when I can just use a liquid exfoliant instead) but these were a neat experience! Having a bit of roughness to the material was a blessing and a curse - could easily over exfoliate with these. But going gently then rinsing off as instructed left my skin glowing!!! I saw an immediate improvement from these, as if I had done a longer chemical peel treatment. So much easier and such great results!!! I didn’t even mind the fragrances since it’s on the skin for so little time - no sensitivity, no problem. 

Calendula cleansing water:
I didn’t know what to expect with this product, but I definitely didn’t think I was going to love it so much! It has a lovely floral/soapy scent that I was worried would irritate my skin, but it magically didn’t! You can tell the product foams up a little as you’re swiping it across your face, but I didn’t notice a particularly sticky feeling afterward. I used it in the morning (since I normally use an extra gentle cleanser in the morning anyways) and it cleansed well enough for that! When I use a cotton round of toner afterwards it still picks up some leftover residue, but the combo together cleansed my combo skin pretty well. As someone who hates washing their face I loved the ease! Would be great to have on hand to use when in a hurry - but I don’t think it’ll become a new cleansing staple for me

Real ferment micro essence:
I’m in love. This hydrated and calmed my redness-prone skin, which I’ve never seen done so well from a toner! This thin, unscented toner is like magic. Right away I could see my skin getting happier - in the first use, redness decreased and my skin looked more hydrated, overall calmer and brighter. With continued use it just got even better! Can’t wait to order the full-size! 

Vitamin C serum:
Was pleasantly surprised by this too! It’s a bit thin for a serum, but I enjoyed the more hydrating, less tacky formula than some vitamin C serums I’ve tried. It has an earthy citrus scent, but it’s nice and light, dissipating quickly. It pats into the skin well and didn’t cause me irritation! I can’t say I saw a huge brightness improvement, but I think that’s just because vitamin C takes more uses to see improvement than the sample bottle gave. I believe it would produce great results if given the time, though! A nice, gentle vitamin C with still enough power to brighten, a great combo! 

Overall, I was blown away by these products! I found a new favorite and a few other new loves - such a great set. Thanks again to Picky and NEOGEN for the chance to try these gems! 💕

Pyunkang Yul’s calming deep moisture toner and Dr. Jart’s cicapair tiger grass color correcting treatment are on my wishlist - can’t wait to get them!

What’s on your wishlist?

I didn’t notice an improvement in my slight dark circles, but I mostly got it for an extra hydration boost so I don’t mind! 

So refreshing! The lightweight serum isn’t sticky at all - just hydrating! Plus the rollerball application is the perfect thing for morning skincare; it’s cool and invigorating. 

Not everyone likes the scent of witch hazel, but I don’t mind it at all! No complaints

Refreshing and soothing with a dose of sodium hyaluronate, this toner puts other witch hazel to shame. I wanted a light toner that leaves no film behind but doesn’t strip the skin, and Humphrey’s totally delivered!

It’s a bit tacky on the skin - nothing too terrible, but it does change how other products feel after a bit. I didn’t experience pilling, though! 

Hydration station! This prevents my dry flaky patches - thank goodness! It’s a good, basic hyaluronic acid that does the job 💕

It stings a bit. And smells like citrus-scented kitchen cleaner.

I like the texture of this eye cream - it’s whipped and light, which is nice for a hydrating non-greasy formula

It burns! Already I was worried because of the overwhelming kitchen-cleaner scent, so I should’ve known better. I gave it a try anyways and instantly it started burning my skin. I’ve tried a few vitamin C serums and none of them have done anything like this. Not for me.
