Comes out as a light green, thick paste and has a very dense lather. Has a subtle earthy scent. Upon lathering, it feels very creamy and cloudy. I only use this in the AM since I double-cleanse at night and I think that using this would dry out my skin further. Since this is a wash-off product I don't expect it to have immediate, noticeable, significant effects. Additionally, betaine salicylate (a BHA derivative) is farther on the ingredient list which specifies that it is at a very low concentration.
