I am a retinoid user and I deal from time to time with weakened moisture barrier and a little bit of dehydration.
I bought this product to help with keeping my barrier strong. It's jam packed with beneficial ingredients like all products from Paula's choice. It has ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids - the Holy trinity, as well as some beneficial oils.
Although it is marketed as a serum, it is a lightweight lotion. In the summer I could use instead of a moisturiser. I enjoyed the texture.
As much as I love Paula's choice, this product did not work for me at all.
It burns my face badly, especially around my nose where I have some dry patches. I know this could be happening beacase of broken moisture barrier, but all my other hydrating products with no actives didn't do this.
I've read other reviews on PC website - some users mention the same thing. There were also reviewers that said they broke out badly. I didn't experience that, maybe I didn't use it long enough due to the burning sensation.
