It does have a fresh clean scent that I don’t find to be overpowering. Once you add water the gel turns into a silky, soft foam. I prefer to double cleanse but thought I would try as a stand alone and surprisingly this foaming cleanser removed every bit of my makeup. It didn’t irritate my skin or leave it feeling overly dry. Skin felt cleansed, refreshed, and soft after rinsing. It did leave my skin feeling hydrated for the most part except for that rare occasion where this gave me a “squeaky” clean. I think this cleanser would suit all skin types and think it’s worth a try if you want to try something new!
