Barrierderm Milky Serum
Hydrate, soothe & support. Those are some of the key properties I look for in a skin repairing serum. Even though I feel like I have a firm understanding of my skin & how I need to approach my routine, I still go through phases of over exfoliation, irritation & breakouts.
So I was lucky enough to try this serum last few months & now I fell in love with it. This serum is based in a thin milky formulation which made it great for all type of skin, especially for a dry/dehydrated/normal/combination skin.
For my oily, dehydrated skin, it doesn't feel too heavy, no oiliness, no stickiness, no tackiness, but I notice there's some 'moisture feeling' that comes with it.
It's a beautiful looking product (in terms of its texture & consistency) that absorbs wonderfully & leaves no scent.
This serum is packed with all of the things my skin needs to weather the storm (so to speak) when I go at the acids a bit too hard or just need to bring my skin back to a balanced state.
Using this product over the last month or so has left my skin looking more hydrated while retaining moisture longer throughout the day. The skin supporting benefits aren’t really something I see on a daily basis, but the fact that my skin has remained relatively 'normal' in the face of some active ingredient mistakes means that the product is doing its job behind the scenes. I’ve been loving this serum in combination with any active ingredients like retinol, vitamin C or chemical exfoliant as my skin just feels a bit stronger & less reactive.
For some people, this serum may feels a bit heavy, but no worries, it doesn't clog my pores when I use it.
P.S. I have an oily, dehydrated, acne-prone skin.
