It’s very lightweight and feels like I’ve put nothing on my face. Directions say to use twice a day everyday, I’ve done that for a while and my skin didn’t get irritated. It can be used as a spot treatment or all over. I read it may cause patchy results when used as a spot treatment so I prefer applying this on my whole face. This comes in an opaque plastic tube with a thin tube neck dispenser. Brightening ingredients in this treatment are 2% Hydroquinone and Kojic Acid. It has Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid (antioxidant) and Glycolic Acid (exfoliant). I’m already using exfoliants, niacinamide, ascorbic acid, azelaic acid, and tretinoin, so my skin tone already looks even but I still have some stubborn age spots that don’t respond to any of the above. I thought I’d use 2% hydroquinone. For three months, I used this Glytone Corrector almost everyday, once to twice a day. My skin appeared brighter and newer dark spots were lightened but sadly didn’t see any improvement on older spots. I’m currently taking a rest from using this on my face and started applying on my neck lines. This is a good brightening treatment as long as you can get past the smell and understand the risks involved. Hydroquinone is a controversial ingredient but is generally safe and often considered the gold standard in treating hyperpigmentation. Higher percentages require prescription and supervision from a professional.
