It is very cooling to apply and is gel like consistency. The scent is not so bothersome as it is last on the ingredients list. I would however prefer it to be fragrance free. I use this in my morning routine before applying spf. It does provide a great level of hydration considering that my skin is dry / normal and the texture is lightweight. It is a freshing cream to use and makes my skin feel plump and soft to touch.
