It's a combination of bee saliva, beeswax, and sap from trees or other nearby botanicals. Honeybees are the only creatures capable of producing propolis, which is harvested by scraping the lids and sides of hive boxes. ➖➖➖ 🍯So, why should you use it in skincare products? Propolis has excellent moisturizing, antioxidant, and skin-glow benefits. Propolis also has antibacterial, anti-redness, and anti-inflammatory properties, making it an excellent choice for acne-prone skin. 𝑻𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 & 𝑷𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈🍯 This is thin, lightweight, and well-tolerated by the skin. This feels moisturizing on the skin rather than purely hydrating. While it is lightly moisturizing, it never feels or looks heavy or greasy on the skin. This essence isn't sticky by any means, but I do notice a slight tack on my skin from time to time. However, it quickly fades as soon as I apply my next layer. I must say that I adore the bottle in which the essence is packaged. In keeping with the honey theme, it is a beautifully hefty glass bottle with a gradient design that goes from brown to yellow. 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘🍯📝 🍯I'd never tried an essence before, but it was a fantastic experience. It blends in other products well and does not cause pilling. 🍯I've been using it for about a week and haven't had any breakouts as a result of it. (I have combination skin that is prone to breakouts.) 🍯I have noticed an increase in hydration and glow.
