This is medium weight with a gel-cream texture, it comes in a tube. It’s star ingredient is Panthenol, also known as vitamin B5 and this contains an impressive 10% of it. B5 is a humectant which helps skin to attract and retain water, it’s soothing and anti-inflammatory and encourages lipid production in the skin which fortifies the moisture barrier. The third ingredient after water and panthenol is sunflower oil which is naturally very high in linoleic acid, another ingredient that fortifies the moisture barrier. Additionally, it contains glycerin and several types of hyaluronic acid which are skin identical, moisturizing humectants which can help hydrate skin. This formula is meant to hydrate, soothe and strengthen skin but is lacking in antioxidants so I recommend applying it after an antioxidant rich serum. I recommend this cream especially for people that are experiencing irritation from a damaged moisture barrier or are looking for an nice cream to buffer retinoids. The formula is free of fragrance, essential oils and drying alcohols making it a good choice for sensitive skin. I found it did not irritate my sensitive skin whatsoever, it absorbed quickly to a mostly matte finish and played well with other products without pilling or feeling greasy.
