Velvet Cleansing Milk
✨ This is the @stratiaskin Velvet Cleansing Milk, a low pH cleanser that is moisturizing, non-foaming and gently removes dirt and grime without drying or damaging the skin barrier.
✨ I use low pH cleansers exclusively and this clocks in at around ~5.0. I am ok with all forms of cleanser (gel / cream / foam) as long it’s low pH but when my skin is at its most sensitive (i.e. seb derm cycle, barrier down) the non-foaming ones work best on my skin.
✨ The Stratia Velvet Cleansing Milk has a milky (duh) consistency and a nutty scent. It has considerable cleansing power, removes most makeup with a little effort — I mean, I would use a first cleanser, of course, but this will do in a pinch.
✨ I’ve been using this as my morning cleanser for most of this month. It’s gentle and ultra nourishing — my barrier was down for a week after an unfortunate niacin flush experience and it really helped bring down the sensitivity and restore my barrier (also bolstered by the Liquid Gold). It also washes off whatever residue is left from my pm routine (oils & sleeping mask) and helps lock in more moisture in my face for the rest of the day.
✨ This is $15 for 4 fl. oz (about 118ml), a little more than what I would spend on a cleanser, but when I do get a particularly bad cycle of seb derm, this would be the perfect cleanser, and I would love to keep this onhand for the eventuality. I still have a lot left in the bottle, but likely to get a fresh bottle when I have family flying in from the US.
