So I just watched Hyram’s first product reveal video for his Retinol and Rainbow Algae serum! To me, it sounds pretty great and it’s so much better than his Selfless brand reveal video... there’s a lot of negative feedback on his brand reveal. What do you think of this product reveal video? I love, love, love this product. This is my best skin care discovery in 2020! Yes, I know it’s already halfway through 2021 but I just started this account less than three months ago🤣

Let’s begin with the gorgeous packaging… it’s so pretty!!! I love the dreamy periwinkle and the bright yellow color combination. It’s relaxing and happy at the same time. I also love that the product comes with its own blue spatula for hygienic purposes. 

The first thing I noticed when opening this is the delicious smell! The brand says that this balm is free of synthetic fragrance. It gets its scent from rosewood oil and grapefruit peel oil. Considering how yummy this smells and the fact that it is a wash-off product, this is one of the rare times that I am ok with having essential oils in my skin care. 

This cleansing balm has the smoothest, sorbet-like texture. It just glides on and melts away oil-based impurities, like excess sebum, sunscreen, and makeup. It doesn’t emulsify as much as other oil-based cleansers but it just feels so luxurious. It also washes off clean, no oily or greasy residue. 

Formulated with seaberry oil, persimmon extract, olive oil, and Vitamin E, these ingredients have anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. They also soften,  nourish, protect, and brighten skin. This balm is vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without mineral oil, alcohol, silicone, parabens, and artificial coloring. 

This multi-awarded cleansing balm is definitely worth all the hype and the steep price! I love it, I’m obsessed with it, I can’t get enough of it. 💙💛💙

However, it must be mentioned that Beauty of Joseon has had issues in the past with regard to the quality of the ginseng that they use. So even if this product contains a lot of ginseng, the ginseng used here may not be as potent or effective.

But considering that this Ginseng Essence Water is much more affordable than other ginseng products, this may be a good product for young adults in their twenties who are both budget-conscious and don’t need the most active form of ginseng. However, if you have more mature skin, it might be worth the investment to purchase a more potent ginseng product.

This watery essence is so lightweight and hydrating. It is easily absorbed by the skin and it leaves no sticky residue whatsoever. It was very enjoyable to use 🤎

This product is formulated with 80% ginseng root water plus ginseng extracts. Ginseng is known to improve circulation, boost collagen production, fight skin aging, balance oil production, calm irritation, and improve hyperpigmentation. It is also a powerful anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. 

Aside from ginseng, this product also contains brightening ingredients, such as Niacinamide and Licorice Root Extract. I definitely noticed the brightening effect of this essence 🤎

It is also formulated without artificial fragrances, parabens, sulfates, alcohol, essential oils, and silicone.

Since they only focus on one main ingredient, you dont get a lot of different benefits from their products.

ONE THING is a K-beauty brand that focuses on one ingredient per product. The products here are made with 100% pure botanical extract. They do not use any chemical preservatives or additives. The products are also vegan, cruelty-free, and alcohol free. 

CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT
Centella Asiatica needs no introduction. It soothes skin and reduces irritation. This product is very lightweight. It was quickly absorbed by my skin with no stickiness or residue.

Even the bland packaging, stinky sulphuric smell, stinging sensation, and the high price are not enough for me to deduct a star. The results speak for themselves.

Lotion P50V from @biologique_recherche gets 5&#47;5stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

THIS!!! 🙌🏻 One of the few products where I saw a clear improvement overnight!!! Whenever I have random red bumps on my skin, I use the P50V on them and they’re gone after a few days! 🤩

From all the variants, I chose P50V because it’s for more mature skin. It helps prevent premature lines and wrinkles. This variant also brightens and moisturizes so it’s great for dry skin too!

But I must say that the Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask definitely produced more dramatic results than this serum. For me,  the mask is the best product in the Klairs Freshly Juiced line for brightening the skin and boosting radiance. 

Also, while this serum does claim to “tighten skin”, said effect was too much for my skin. This serum left my skin so tight and taut, I felt my skin might split. For those with normal/dry skin like mine, I definitely recommend applying a good moisturizer after this serum. 


The Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Charging Serum is a serum with a Dual Brightening Complex, since it is formulated with a 10% Vitamin C derivative and Niacinamide.

Vitamin C is a skin care superstar that increases collagen production, fades pigmentation, and boosts UV protection, when used under sunscreen. 

Niacinamide calms redness and inflammation, strengthens the skin barrier, brightens skin, boosts hydration, and smoothens fine lines and wrinkles.

This serum is also formulated with Madecassoside, which is derived from the Centella Asiatica plant. This is one of my favorite skin care ingredients since it soothes inflammation, helps with wound healing, stimulates new cell growth, builds collagen, fights acne, and boosts skin elasticity.

This product has a light, watery formula, that is easily absorbed by skin. I like it more than the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop because this serum doesn’t heat the skin. After using it for a few weeks, I could see that my skin was brighter. 

In sum, I think this is a great starter product for those looking to add Vitamin C to their skin care routine since it doesn’t heat up nor irritate the skin.
