It is hard to even the product on the skin. It is not the easiest moisturizer to apply given the wide range of moisturizers in the market, but for the price point and what it can do, it is a great product that works but doesn&#39;t break a bank

While we are spoilt with the huge variety of moisturizers in the market today, let&#39;s not forget our skincare OG @nivea creme. Nivea creme has been around for 109 years since 1911 and was the first stable oil-and-water based cream in the market. For a 100 years, there are not much changes in ingredients of NIvea creme. That is amazing because this formula has been invented 100 years ago and still very applicable till today!

Nivea creme contains glycerin, a wonderful humectant that draws moisture into the skin, at the same time it has mineral oil, petrolatum and paraffin which are excellent occlusives to lock in moisture and prevent transepidermal water loss. That also means the Nivea Creme is more occlusive than typical moisturizers, so I would suggest to apply this only at night or to body areas.  In contrary to popular beliefs, cosmetic petrolatum and mineral oil are non-comedogenic; therefore, it should not clog pores. However, because of its occlusive propeties, it can trap other pore-clogging ingredients in the skin, thus exacerbating acne. Hence, it is also not recommended for acne prone skin or oily skin type to use this as moisturizer.

How i use it :
I only use it when my skin barrier is compromised. Eg: over-exfoliation, retinol-caused skin sensitivity, as a body moisturizer. I suffer from eczema and i use steroids cream whenever there is flare up. I apply Nivea creme on top of my steroids cream and body moisturizer to really lock in the moisture, prevent skin water loss and repair the skin barrier. This is a rich cream that is not easy to apply. I melt it with the warmth of my fingertips before applying. It also leaves greasy feeling on skin that may not be comfortable for everyone. But this is still hands down one of the best occlusive moisturizers that will be helpful for skin barrier repair, plus, it is so affordable!

Many regard nivea creme as the dupe for the luxurious Creme De La Mer. Are they really dupes though? In terms of ingredient there are not the same as the latter one contains mainly algae extract which nivea creme don&#39;t. I haven&#39;t try La Mer yet to be able to tell, but one thing I am sure, moisturizers don&#39;t have to be expensive to work!

There is nothing bad about it! Maybe 40ml is too little?? Would be great if it comes at a bigger bottle!

A DUPE of the ANESSA PERFECT UV sunscreen skincare milk! 
My favourite sunscreen is the ANESSA Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk! But the price point is the only drawback of this sunscreen. I am beyond excited to discover a dupe of this sunscreen! I bought this SENKA perfect UV milk with no expectations but was so surprised to find that it has the same consistency, texture and finish as the ANESSA Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare milk, even smells similar on first impression! Most importantly, it is only half the price of the ANESSA one! SENKA and ANESSA are both from the same giant Japanese company Shiseido, and Japanese sunscreens are highly renowned worldwide for the quality and advanced technology! 

Both of these sunscreens perform the same on my skin, both of them are fast drying, leaves a smooth and silky finish on skin and not greasy at all! It also doesn’t leaves on any white cast! It is also a physical combined with chemical sunscreen, so now you don&#39;t have to pick a side! All these points makes them my favourite sunscreens!

Rose hip oil is not derived from the rose, but the small fruit that sits beneath the rose, which contains the seeds of the rose plant. Pressed rosehip seed oil has been valued since ancient times for its many healing properties. It is especially helpful for those with sensitive skin. 

The main benefits of rosehip seed oil are brightening and evens out the skin, regenerates and heals, helps with anti-aging, elasticity, and collagen production due to its high content of Vitamin A. For those who would love an anti-aging product other than retinol, this is a great option! It is suitable for every skin types including acne skin because it has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties to help combat acne, also low comedogenicity. It is also found to be very beneficial to improve the overall look of scars. It is rich in linoleic acid and various other essential fatty acids which intensely hydrates the skin. 

This product has a beautiful chrome color. It may disappoint you, but it does not have rosy scent like what you may think. It smells like olive oil. Despite its oily consistency, it absorbs pretty fast and well on my skin, and leaves the skin shiny. i use this as the last step of my skincare routine after all my serums and moisturizers. It locks all the good stuff into my skin and it is almost guaranteed i wake up with soft, glowy skin! My skin loves it and drinks up all the skincare products and this oil i have applied overnight and i wake up with no trace of oiliness on my skin, only the good glows. 

I have combination more to oily and acne prone skin but this product has never once clogged up my pores or gave me any pimples. Together with my moisturizer, it helps to speed up the recovery of my skin barrier everytime i over-exfoliate, or a retinol irritation. 

I LOVE this rosehip seed oil. I recommend this to any skin type particularly the ones with dry and dehydrated skin. This rosehip seed oil is going to bring oasis to the dry sahara desert!

Personally I didn&#39;t experience any life changing difference on my skin. Mainly this is an antioxidant, which we really won&#39;t see the difference in a short term. It doesn&#39;t lighten my hyperpigmentations. Put this in a fridge will help prolong its freshness and not oxidise so quickly. However, it is still a vitamin c serum, which you have to use it quickly or it will turn brown (sign of oxidation). For me, it turned a slighter darker yellow after 2 months of opening the product. And I immediately stored it in a fridge and so far it has maintained the same color (3 months already). Would recommend to finish this product ASAP once opening.

This is an affordable dupe of the gold standard vitamin C + vitamin E and ferulic acid serum of Skinceuticals. It gives me a healthy glow on my face. The design of the bottle with the pump is thoughtful to prevent the serum from exposing to air and oxidises quickly.

The POA is said to be 3 months after opening. It is too short. I could not finish using such a bottle in 3 months. I have used this for 6 months and so far it is fine but after 6 months, I realized the product has slightly turned into light yellowish green. I then stopped using. I love this product, the only complain would be its POA. Hopefully the ordinary comes out with a more stable formulation for this retinol!

My favourite retinol serum!

The Ordinary offers a range of retinol product with different concentration helps so much for beginners to slowly introduce retinoid into their skincare routine. I have used 0.2% and the 1% retinol in squalane for 1.5 years. They have helped me build tolerance of my skin towards retinol. This 1% retinol in squalane is strong and can be a little bit irritating. However with use of moisturizers it can help to greatly reduce the irritation. I am now using tretinoin but I still use this 1% retinol in squalane for maintenance. The irritation of tretinoin is too great sometimes. This one is just nice as a maintenance. Retinols are 10x less potent than tretinoin, also at the same time, less irritating.

I love pairing this with niacinamide, and together, they make miracles for my skin! My pores are smaller, and my oil regulation is well controlled. Now I am no longer oily, I am glowy!
