I’ve been MIA for the past couple of weeks due to mental health reasons. 
I’ve been having anxiety and stress induced attacks lately…

I miss reviewing skincare products but my head is not in the mindset for anything at all so I took a little break… Breaks my heart to do so but I didn’t want to force myself to do anything half heartedly.

I just opened my email and I was so surprised to see in the Spam folder that I won the Commonlabs’s Vitamin E Calming Ampoule! What a great pick-me-up for the hellish week that I have been having.

Silver Star - is this real???

Hi guys! I have combo skin, prone to dehydration if I over exfoliate, or not drink enough water. Acne prone, too. But main concern is the texture and leftover red acne marks! 
I do have a somewhat sensitive skin, which gets red real easily, but I have built up the tolerance to stronger acids (when used sparingly).

I love trying out and reviewing new skincare products! Comment down below what you can recommend. I love hearing other people’s suggestions.

Has anyone tried any products fron the Sweet Chef line? The Ginger + Vitamin C Bright Spot Tonic looks great but I don’t know if it will work for my skin. Currently using the Timeless 20% Vitamin C serum (current HG)

A little bit of info about this cocktail product that I have been loving lately:
🍊 Vitamin C + Vitamin E = reduce breakouts and blemishes!
🍊Salicylic Acid - to exfoliate and unclog pores
🍊Madecassoside - soothing ingredient, perfect for sensitive skin
PS. They use Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate - a stable, water-soluble form of vitamin C. Works well when formulated with Salicylic Acid as well. .
This is my first time using something with Vitamin C, although I was a bit hesitant since my skin is sensitive, BUT I did not have any (bad)reaction to this product. It’s not a miracle one time use for bright skin instantly. With patience, over time, I did notice my skin being “brighter” and less likely to break out. Which is saying a lot!
I initially used this 2 times a week but upped it to every other night. It’s been around 3 weeks of me using this. The smell will take some getting used to (can’t describe it... it’s a bit strong) but it fades after a couple of minutes.
They recommend to use it in place of a Moisturizer. But I use a super lightweight one (The Inkey List Snow Mushroom) which is more like a “serum” to me at night. When it’s fully dry, I put the C-50 on top.

It is slightly heavy in the AM in the humid weather where I am at. Just needs some time to sink in, maybe.

Wearing masks all the time, my face was a wreck. My breakouts were the worst that I have ever experienced. This simple yet effective moisturiser saved my skin. 

With its medical grade EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor), niacinamide, and centella - it slowly healed my skin and strengthened my skin barrier.

It is not a miracle product by any means. It is a slow and steady path that soothed and hydrated my skin over time. 

Already finished with mine and I’m missing it already! Hoping to get my hands on it soon.

Nothing at all at the moment! Maybe the scent? It’s a bit strong especially if you don’t like the Tea Tree Scent.

As far as first impressions go, this is very lightweight, not sticky, easily absorbed into the skin. The strong scent may be a surprise at the beginning, but I personally love the Tea Tree Smell. So far, my sensitive skin really calmed down when I added this into my routine. Keep in mind that I have only tried this for a week so I will post an update once I have used it up!

Raspberry Ketone - perfuming and Peppermint Oil- perfuming… but my sensitive skin did not have any bad reaction to the Toner so it may be at a very low concentration?

Some By Mi, a combination of ‘Something’ and ‘By a Miracle’. It is in their hearts to wish a miracle on our skin with their skincare solution. They have naturally sourced ingredients, and are free of worrisome ingredients. The biggest plus factor for me is that their products are Skin Irritation Test Completed, my sensitive skin can use this product specifically without any worries. (But I still patch test! Every skin reacts differently, of course. Better safe that sorry.)

I usually use more hardcore acids in my routine, my skin has built up the tolerance to do so. But when my skin is feeling a little extra sensitive and reactive, it’s best to scale back and use a more gentle product. I have been only using this for 3 days, so I haven’t noticed any big and major changes yet in my hyperpigmentation. But what I love about this product is that after every use, my skin is more hydrated, refreshed, and so soft! I don’t notice the scent. For me, it has a very mild, tolerable, faint tea tree scent.

The AHA, BHA, and PHA helps to remove the dead skin gently. This will prevent my pores from getting clogged, which will result in even more breakouts. The 10,000 ppm of Tea Tree Water calms and soothes my skin. The 2% Niacinamide also adds that extra oomph to make my skin even more radiant, while minimizing pore appearance, and regulates the sebum production. 

So far so good! I will continue to use this and update the post after the 30-day mark. Why 4 stars? It’s performing well but not holy grail status for me YET. I might edit this or review it again after I use it more. But for first impressions, this is 🔥

It has fragrance in it. :(
Since it’s a wash off product, it didn’t irritate my skin.

Banila Co is my first ever cleansing balm &#47; first cleanse product. I hoarded the mini sizes when I visited Korea way back when. 

No fuss no muss cleansing balm. Removes all the sunscreen, waterproof makeup on my face well. And this doesn’t sting my eyes! I find most cleansing balms leave a film or sting my sensitive eyes. Happy that this is one of the few that doesn’t.
