Hey there! 

This topic seems to be getting more popular but I wanted to know how you guys know you've experienced a damaged barrier first hand. My skin has felt tighter a couple hours after applying my skincare (even though it looks shiny), I have redness after washing my face or applying products heavily, and I've been breaking out more than usual. Could these be signs I've damaged my skin barrier? I've been cutting out actives in my skincare and focusing on hydrating products. For context it's winter where I am and it's been very cold and dry, and I usually have combo skin :)

how do I know if I've damaged my skin barrier?

For the longest time I've only used water in the morning to rinse my face. Then, after purchasing a gentle cleanser which claims it's good for the morning cleanse, I used it in the morning and second cleanse at night (cleansing balm first to remove makeup and sunscreen). For context, it's currently winter where I'm from so my skin has been drier than usual (it's usually combo). After about 2 weeks of using a morning cleanser my face has begun breaking out. I've also introduced a new acne cream into my routine at around the same time(which doesn't have traditional BHA or benzoyl peroxide btw) so I'm not sure if it's this new cream or introducing a morning cleanse to my routine that has been breaking me out. It's a considerable breakout, not like I usually get. I've cut out my morning cleanser for the past 2 days and continued using the cream because I want to see if my skin is purging or it's a reaction.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble but essentially my question is- do you use a morning cleanse or just water? Does this affect your acne at all?

Ive been seeing this brand everywhere lately on the gram because of marketing and PR. It's become recently available in Australia and priceline has a 20% off intro offer. This brand looks really interesting- simple, ingredient focused skincare at an affordable price similar to the ordinary and inkey list. My questions are, have you tried any of Q+A's products? Would you recommend any? And how would you compare it with the ordinary and inkey list?

It can be too dewy for me if I apply too much

Love the lightweight texture. Perfect for summer time and oily skin types. It gives the right amount of hydration without being heavy

Not sure if it did much in terms of reducing breakouts and wrinkles. I probably have to use it more (I&#39;m halfway)

Love the ingredients of this. Super lightweight and absorbs well. Doesn&#39;t irritate my skin at all

WHITE CAST !! so sad :( also didn&#39;t enjoy the scent. Go for the aloe sunscreen instead (pictured)
