Hi guys! I started .025% tretinoin on April 3rd. I’m using it every third night sandwiched in between my moisturizer (Aveeno calm + restore gel lotion). I’m still peeling and flaking like crazy. Any recommendations?

Tell me about a time you tried a super well-rated skincare product that just did NOT work for you. I’ll go first…
The Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum made my skin so irritated. Also, the CeraVe Hydrating cleanser stung the skin around my eyes, nose and mouth. 😦

What skincare product was a flop for you?

This fave wash is a bit harsh on the skin. I could only use it on my face when my moisture barrier was at its best. I do continue to repurchase this to use in my chest and back. The acne on my back and chest has never been as clear as it was using this cleanser. This also smells like sulfer but that doesn’t bother me.

This does an excellent job and clearing AND preventing acne breakouts. Ive never found snither face wash like this to clear my breakouts so fast.

This product is a little expensive. It’s in the same price range as a lot of other similar toners, but not a drug store price even so.

This toner is very, very gentle. It also leaves my overal complexion very even. My favorite part is that this doesn’t break me out. 

The first thing I dislike is that the tink of this is very dark. I also dislike how heavy this feels on the skin. I have dry skin and I find my face feels clammy after hours of wearing this. I also don’t like that it only has an SPF of 20.

I like how this is a mineral sunscreen and therefore it never bothers my eyes. I also appreciate that it does not cause acne.

My only complaint is that this product is excluded from coupons at Ulta. 

This breaks down all makeup in a snap, even waterproof mascara and liquid lipstick. It also washes off cleanly with water and leaves behind no residue at all.

I don’t like that this comes in a jar. So many other products come in a pump, and this should too. 

This retinol is better than most of the high-price retinols you can find on the market (but this is half the price). I would recommend anyone who is acne-prone to try this for fine lines and hyperpigmentation. NOTE: you need to let tour skin get used to this. Start slowly, and maybe introduce it on top of other lotions with no other actove ingredients. (:
