Dr. Belmeur Clarifying Moisturizer Hydratant
I’ve tried a few sample sachets of the cream before deciding to purchase the full size, it wasn’t a surprise to me in any aspect. My first impression turned out to be the same after weeks of usage.
It claims to have a custom-made Skin-sync Rx formula with Beta-Glucan, Chaga Mushroom Extract, and Satsuma Orange Peel Extract. In addition to this, we can find Panthenol, Niacinamide, Soybean Extract, Shea Butter, and Jojoba Seed Oil for a proper skin repairing and moisturizing mixture.
Upon application, it feels like a super lightweight cream or a gel cream even, I expected it to be much thicker than that. Speaking of expectations - I thought the cream’s going to contain some kind of BHA, hence the clarifying name, but none can be found here, only Tea Tree Leaf Oil which can be an irritant to some. I don’t feel like it helps much with breakouts if I’m being completely honest.
Leaving aside, I like using this cream occasionally if I’m in need of something light yet occlusive enough this summer. It sinks into the skin instantly, doesn’t leave a greasy feel, doesn’t pill even with multiple serums underneath it, and it didn’t clash with any of my sunscreens either. Yeah, it’s one of my basic moisturizers, nothing more, nothing less.
However, the whole brand’s packaging and marketing make the buyer feel like you get a medical-grade cream - even their claim is to be low-irritant, but the reality is that I would never recommend this to someone with sensitive skin. It’s full of essential oils and citrus extracts and on top of that: doesn’t even smell good… Disappointing.
