This toner is formulated with a soothing blend of brightening ingredients that work to reduce the appearance of dullness, uneven skin tone, and enlarged pores. As we all know, it isn’t possible to shrink your pores, but it is possible to make them less visible &amp; prominent. 

The ingredients in this product are very interesting. Lately I have been seeing more and more brands launch products containing a niacinamide &amp; vitamin c concoction. This is the case with this toner as well, featuring a stable form of vitamin C which boosts skin’s ability to defend itself against free radical damage. In addition, alpha arbutin improves the look of hyperpigmentation while licorice root extract soothes inflammation and inhibits excess melanin production. 

I really enjoy using this product, for the simple reason that it’s so lightweight. It’s like splashing water on my face, no need for cotton rounds or anything. These past days I have been splashing this on my face after my night shower following up with a moisturiser and calling it a day. I like to implement this method for the days when I’m very tired and don’t feel like spending too much time doing my skincare routine.

Honestly there is nothing negative about this.

An effective and simple cleanser mousse which I usually use after my Iunik Calendula Oil Cleanser!! Its a great duo🧡

The ingredients list for the Pyunkang Yul is as follows:

Water, Propylene Glycol, Carbomer, 1,2-Hexanediol, Betaine Salicylate, Quaternium-60, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyethyl Urea

What you’ll notice is that there are no peeling agents there. No acids. The closest thing is betaine salicyclate which is derived from beets and is an alternative to beta-hydroxy acid. But BHAs need to stay on the skin for a longer time in order to be active and they don’t produce highly impressive peels. After rubbing it on your skin for a minute you will notice some “dirt” starting to appear (in the form of small peas). I didn’t understand how that could be my dead skin, so I started researching a bit. What’s happening is that oil and dirt on your skin is acting as a seed for little balls of glycol and sugar acids (allantoin, betaine salicylate, 1,2-hexanediol). These balls are going to remove some dead skin, but not as much as it appears. A huge disappointment. 

In addition, the smell of it made my eyes watery. I don’t know if it’s my sensitive nose exaggerating, but this product smells like rubbing alcohol somehow. Not a fan. 

All in all I wouldn’t repurchase this. I feel like it didn’t do anything for my oily skin. 
Even though I didn’t like this product, I am grateful for having tried it, because I got the chance to research the ingredients and see what works for my skin and what doesn’t. I will repurpose this product since I don’t like throwing away products.

I am really loving this product, it has really helped me combat my active breakouts. It does contain 2% salicylic acid which obviously helps so so much🤌🏼
