Hello! I just started using Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner a few days ago. From the very first day after use, I started breaking out really bad. I mean, bad. A lot of blackheads/whiteheads and even the kind of pimples that are deeper under the skin (the ones that hurt a lot but almost never come to a head). I'm just wondering if anyone else experienced this and went through a skin purge? Otherwise I'm worried it's just a bad reaction and won't get better. I don't want to stop using it UNLESS I get to around 3 weeks of use and it hasn't gotten better! 
Side note: I have a large pores and oily skin - I breakout sometimes (usually one week out of the month, but not this bad) and I often have blackheads on any given day. I decided to try this toner on a recommendation I received for clearing acne and shrinking pores 🫣

Skin Purge or Bad Reaction?

Hello to all! I am here to ask for toner recommendations for targeting acne, oily skin, and enlarged pores. I've tried a few now, but I don't see much in the way of results (even after giving plenty of time). Thanks in advance!

This is probably going to sound strange, but it's the only description I can give about my skin issue. 

For the past 2 months, my skin has felt cheesy. I've always struggled with oily and acne prone skin, but this is different. For most of the summer, I actually had the oiliness under control. My facial skin was almost "normal," somewhere between oily and dry. Seriously, it was almost perfect except that I would still have acne breakouts. 
But now? Now it's cheesy, and unbearable. It's not oily, like it used to be. Which is why I'm using the term "cheesy." It's not greasy feeling, and I don't even see oil/grease most of the time (exception being when I'm sweating). My skin is not dry, either. It's almost, like, a thickness. I also say like cheese because the breakouts have suddenly increased during this time, mainly with closed comedones. At first, I thought maybe fungal acne, as I didn't really have the weird feeling in my skin right away - just this acne popping up that I couldn't control whatsoever. 
I also have thought maybe it's related closely to my sudden dandruff problem. That might important to mention, as it lined up almost perfectly with the sudden acne increase. My scalp is not dry, but my hair is also not becoming oily or greasy like it used to when I would have random dandruff problems. 
I just don't know what to do at this point, and can't find anything when I try to Google about it. If anyone has any ideas about what's going on or how to treat it, I'd be so grateful. I have never been to a dermatologist, and it will be quite awhile before I can even see a regular doctor to get the needed referral to see one. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure it out on my own (and maybe with someone's help here, if I'm lucky 🤞).

Giveaways/Events

This oil smells AWFUL in my opinion. Since you're applying it to your face, you're stuck with that smell until you wash your face again. It's also a bit greasy feeling AND greasy looking. 

There isn't anything bad to say about this product. I absolutely 100% love it. 

This serum is amazing. I use it on my laugh lines and forehead wrinkles, and I swear on everything they have actually become less visible over the course of a month or two. I barely use a drop each time because it goes a long way. It absorbs beautifully within less than a minute. No smell. 

There's nothing bad about this product, but if you use it wrong or use too much it will make your hair look greasy. 

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this hair oil. Sometimes I use it after I shower, while my hair is still wet. Sometimes I dry my hair and straighten it, then add some of this oil throughout (to tame fly-aways and frizz caused by the heat damage). No matter when I use it, it makes my hair soft, smooth, and shiny but not greasy. My advice is to use just a small dime-sized amount at a time. Put it in your palm and rub it between your hands to spread it out. Then run your hands through your hair, focusing on the ends first! Try not to use it much near your roots. I flip my head/hair upsidedown to run it through and I let my hands just barely touch my hair as I do it at first. When there's barely any oil left on my hands, then I start rubbing my hair from about mid-length to the ends. 

I'm not so sure that it does anything for fine lines or wrinkles. Maybe I need more time using it though. 

This hyaluronic acid serum definitely makes my face look and feel hydrated. It's not too oily or greasy, either. I use it daily after cleansing. It absorbs well enough that I can throw makeup on over top of it. 

It works well, but isn't the best hydrating serum out there. 

This serum is pretty good - it delivers decent hydration to WHEREVER you decide to apply it. No smell as far as I can tell. I like that you can use it on your face or anywhere else.
