My face gets really red (but not sunburnt) when I go outside, especially in warm weather. What products would you recommend to get rid of or decrease redness?

I want to try glow recipe’s ceramide recovery serum to get rid of some redness, but it’s expensive. Is it worth the investment? Why/ why not?

What I don’t like about this essence is the really strong fruity fragrance. Usually, I don’t mind fruity fragrances, but this one is unnecessarily pungent. I enjoy using this but wish there was a version without all the unnecessary ingredients.

The texture is thicker than other essences I have tried but by no means heavy. It is extremely slimy, but that’s just the nature of snail mucin. If this texture doesn’t scream HYDRATING I don’t know what does. 

I apply the essence after cleansing my skin with lukewarm water. It absorbs into my skin almost immediately without making me feel greasy. It does feel really tacky on my skin, but again, that’s probably just the snail mucin. This essence leaves my skin feeling calmer, softer, and hydrated. I also like how this makes my skin look radiant and glowy. 


The only thing I don’t like is the $37 price tag. It’s so expensive!

This is THE fanciest-looking skincare product I have tried yet! The glass bottle and golden color of the essence makes using this product feel so luxurious. Also, look at this cool texture and these bubbles! The very subtle kombucha fragrance almost makes me tempted to drink this. 

I absolutely love how this product feels on my skin. It takes a minute to absorb, but once it does, it’s not sticky or greasy. It is also so gentle and non-irritating. It also wears great under makeup. This essence hydrates my face and makes it appear slightly brighter and plumper. It leaves a glowy and healthy finish! 

However, it takes a while to fully absorb into my skin. This product makes my skin feel damp and greasy. Unfortunately, I had to stop using this on my face early on because it was triggering breakouts (I don’t have acne-prone skin) and causing irritation. It makes for a great body lotion, but as an $18 face cream, it’s a hard pass for me.

This soothing cream has a very unique almost transparent, brownish color and lightweight, gel texture. It’s essential oil free, but has a slight musky scent. 

A small amount of this cream is more than enough for my face and neck since it spreads like butter. It leaves a very dewy finish. 

Everything I’ve tried from Thank You Farmer so far has been absolute perfection – this SPF included! 

This chemical sunscreen has a very creamy texture and is fragrance free. The formula applies very smoothly, doesn’t feel sticky or greasy, and blends into the skin seamlessly. It leaves a naturally dewy finish. Best part? No white cast, no pilling, and no eye-stinging! 

The formula reminds me of a moisturizer because it’s so hydrating and soothing. Considering it has calming properties, I bet this would work amazingly on irritated and sunburnt skin. People with acne or rosacea would also probably greatly benefit from this sunscreen. 

Overall, I’m very impressed with this sunscreen. I am definitely planning on taking this with me on my summer travels!


The fragrance is very strong, if you aren’t a fan of green tea, you probably won’t like the scent. 

This cleansing balm has the matcha color and fragrance, which is very, very strong. If I wasn’t obsessed with green tea, this smell would have completely deterred me from trying this in fear of irritation. 

At first, it felt like I was putting oil straight onto my face. But I guess that’s expected given the key ingredient list. And luckily, this cleansing balm removed my grime and makeup without causing any irritation. In fact, it was so gentle around my eye area that it didn’t even blur my vision. I’m not even joking when I say this, but up until recently, I used to think it was normal to be blinded by cleansing balms!

Anyway, I really enjoyed this cleansing balm. For the reasonable price of $18, I just might repurchase this!
