A question to those who have used products with kombucha such as the ones tagged below, - how "slimy"/gooey were they? Asking because I want to try some kombucha toner/essence/ampoule, but not sure if they're meant more for a dry skin. If these products are more on the viscous side and resemble snail mucin, the chances are my oily skin wouldn't absorb them, so looking for info! Thanks!

A question to those of you who are advanced in using peptides: which is better? I know that they're both signal peptides with Matrixyl 3000 being used more for wrinkles and copper peptide for a broader range of skin concerns including skin regeneration and healing, but which one is more effective in what they claim? Also, can they be used together? Can either of them be used with EGF peptides?

🗨 My experience:

I like this serum for its universality, - it's good to have a product that performs several functions. 

Its watery-gel consistency is lightweight, absorbs relatively quickly. I noticed that it turns into a white foam when patted into the skin, - no idea why, but it disappears when the serum is absorbed.

My skin feels comfortable with this product, as if there's nothing applied. However, my face looks too "glowy". Glowy skin looks good if it's already flawless; my oily skin with blemishes doesn't need that kind of "highlighting". 

There's nothing not to like this product for.

I got a mini of this product just to explore one of my favourite brands further, and it didn't disappoint me. Such an elegant, simple formulation!

🗨 My experience:

Gel-like liquid with no fragrance, absorbs well. I'm autistic about the textures and how the products feel on my skin, so it's a big factor for me that this ampoule feels very light and not sticky. It's soothing and nice to use in the evening, pairs well with the rest of my products. 

As to pore minimizing claim, I can't say that my pores are smaller as a result of using this ampoule (retinol and niacinamide work best for this concern). Still, it's a nice basic care product, which I'd repurchase.

📍 The actual feel of this scrub was off-putting, like sand rubbed against the skin. I couldn't massage it for 60 seconds (!) as the packaging suggests. I didn't have this feeling with other scrubs in the past, so my husband is finishing this one off.

A mild physical scrub for gentle exfoliation.

🔎 My thoughts: before I switched to chemical exfoliation, I used to exfoliate twice weekly with different kinds of scrubs, and this one was the gentlest option. Its texture is creamy, it's not harsh at all and didn't irritate my skin.

Nothing at all, I wish I tried it earlier.

A silky-soft cleansing balm

Key ingredients:

📌 sunflower & macadamia oils
📌 licorice root & eggplant extracts
📌 centella
📌 ceramide 

🗨 As for someone who only recently started to double cleanse, this product is a blessing. The balm melts into a sorbet-like consistency, very gentle on the skin and not too oily. Removes sunscreen effortlessly (don't know about makeup, I don't wear any). It actually washes off almost completely, no oily film left behind, although I still use a water-based cleanser afterwards just in case. As a result, my skin is clearer and doesn't feel stripped. 

🏳 What's very important to me, it's not comedogenic. Lots of well- recommended balms contain comedogenic oils, so I'm happy that I found this one!

A clarifying night oil that claims to rebalance the skin and clear out blemishes.

Key ingredients: 

📌 black cumin seed oil
📌 balsam copaiba
📌 charcoal powder

🗨 My experience : this oil is black in colour and turns clear upon massaging. The product didn't add to my oiliness, felt quite light and non-greasy. However, it didn't bring any benefits either in terms of waking up to a clearer skin. In my view, it's better to use a serum that specifically targets blemishes and will be more effective. So, the purpose of this oil remains unclear to me.
