Hi Pickies! Not often do we mention amino acids here. Peptides are far more exciting but I think amino acids are very useful too. What do you like about them? 

I really loved the Dewytree mask, it helped soothe and rebuild my skin when my skin was ultra sensitive.

I have added some other products containing amino acids here - it would be great to see what your favourites are 🙂

My eye area is sensitive to the use of heavy mascaras.
Luckily I switched to a tubing mascara and my eyes are fine with using it so I'm going to stick to this type as it's less rubbing and tugging at my eyes for removal.
This mascara is the one I'm using currently. It's good - it lengthens and thickens my tiny lashes and washes off with little fuss! (No remover, just warm water on a washer)
I've seen a few other brands with tubing mascaras but I'm wondering what else is out there.
Can you recommend any good ones that wash off really easily?

Tubing mascara for sensitive skin/eye area

Hi Pretty Pickies! Looking to hear about what you do when your skin is unhappy and irritated. I try and keep cool and stay out of the sun at the hottest time of the day and try and avoid hot showers. I also keep my aloe in the fridge to add to its cooling and soothing effects and use shower oils to help with reducing itch. These are some products/brands I find helpful. What do you do?

With daily use had a build-up of adverse reactions - sensations of itching and burning.

Is moisturising and non sticky. Not expensive. Packaging is great, tube is a good size for keeping in your handbag.

But... had to counter with heavy moisturizers to combat dryness and sensitivity

Did tingle a bit for a few minutes when I first started using Finacea but my skin is fine now. I found using other soothing products with it helps your skin adapt to using it when you start.

Has made my skin more even in texture and tone. Skin feels very smooth and soft after applying. Started this to help with my hyperpigmented skin and although it hasn't removed all my melasma patches it has made them less visible.
Soothing when your face feels hot and itchy.
Is a light cream that absorbs well into the skin and layers well with other products.

Smells and looks like wood glue but I actually don't mind it. Is supposed to desensitise sensitive skin but I didn't notice any change to mine. Was quick to cause congestion on and around my nose so I stopped using it regularly on my face but continued to use it on my neck. Has a short shelf life after opening (6mths).

This product worked really well to moisturise and tone a sagging jawline. Is a thick serum best suited for dry skin types.

Purchased for dermatitis on hands - was not the best as it doesn&#39;t absorb well and is very greasy (can&#39;t touch anything afterwards). Is deceptive in its appearance - looks like a gel but it is very thick. Would not recommend for use on the face.

Only need the teeny tinest amount to create a barrier to cover the skin. Is a straight occlusive similar to Vaseline.
