In my country, and beauty community, this cheat sheet is very popular. Many of them believe this, they are afraid to layer nicinamide with vitamin C since they read this cheat sheet when there's no source and science behind this. 

People would ask, "In the cheat sheet I read somewhere, we can't combine niacinamide and vit c, so why klairs has vit c and niacinamide in it?" 

While I do layer niacinamide with vit c as well as retinoids 👁️👄👁️ and my skin never been this smooooooth and glowyyyy ✨

Imo, as long as your skin is doing fine, you can layer whatever ingredients that treat your skin concern. Don't forget to ask your doctor or ask someone who has knowledge about skincare, etc.

Opinion on do's and dont's skincare ingredients cheat sheet?

If you are not used to 10% niacinamide (which is strong percentage and can be irritating) I suggest you to try the 5% niacinamide + sabi white first to see how it works on your skin. If you are not allergic or  used to  higher percentage niacinamide, go for this because this is value for money.

Side note: The bottle could break somehow, so be careful placing this above your table. But if you order somethinc, you'd get a lot of bubble wrap so your order would be in good condition.

I love the scent on this one, it's not partically perfumery but this is has a better scent than the old somethinc niacinamide without Sabi White. The applicator comes with cute little pipet which picks up the serum slightly. I noticed,after using this for a week (twice, day and night), I could see my skin becomes brighter. I'm hoping more and looking forward to see how this serum would work.

This serum contains 10% niacinamide with Sabi white as main ingredients. 
Ingredients list (stated by Somethinc Official):
72,5% centella asiatica water
Sabi white (pharmaceutical grade)
10% niacinamide
Hydrolyzed algae extract
Anthemis nobilis extract
Beet extract
Caffeine
Tocopherol

For those who don't know:
Sabi white (0.25%) is 8x effective concentration of hydroquinone (4%)
100x more effective than licorice

Somethinc has small size (5ml), medium size (20ml), and big size (40ml)

Look how my skin brighten after using this for a week, I have acne scar because of the skin picking but after using somethinc sabi white, the acne scar is brighten ✨

A quite big tube for me to finish, this has 80ml volume, I finished this in 4 months ( I used this daily, and reapply 2 times a day ). Note: I don&#39;t really follow 2 finger rules to apply sunscreen, I use maximum amount on my face.

What I love about this sunscreen is super lightweight and very moisturizing. I notice how my skin more hydrated after using this. If you see the before and after picture down below, you can see how my skin is smooth and hydrated.

This has no whitecast (of course it is chemical sunscreen), I don&#39;t really smell anything so I&#39;d say this has no fragrance (according to my nose).

The texture itself is super light cream, you can see how this product absorb into my skin well.

I also love how this sunscreen doesn&#39;t make my face looking like I had oily skin, so it can control your oil production.


This goes well under make up!! I love how my foundation and all are stick in to my face!! Provide good hyration.

Somehow, due to the texture, I feel like it is kinda hard to pump the product out.

Okay, the texture is taking me out because it feels like beans lol 😆  but i do like it. 

I use this in the morning and at night, twice a day. After toning, I apply this serum. 

Hydrating my skin but not significant differences.

- this does not suit to any skintypes, some might be allergic to fermented liquid
- if you are not keen of fermented smell, you&#39;ll find hard time using this
- pricey

I&#39;ve been trying some japanese skincare and this one crossed my mine. PITERA is one of my best favourites in field of essences.

Texture:
The texture is watery, this comes with 250ml bottle that contains of 90% PITERA. 

Smell:
The smell is very unique, it is quite smell like fermented liquid or something. It is nice and i was quite enjoy it. It builds up day by day if you apply this essence everyday in your routine.

Colour:
The colour is slighty yellowy.

How to apply:
I apply this everyday. Twice a day. After toning or straight after cleansing. I use this using my cotton pads, the most thinner cotton pad so they don&#39;t pick up much product. 

How to store this:
I&#39;d like to store this in the cool room temperature.

Benefit:
- fresh looking skin
- does not make skin looks dull
- very soothing and hydrating
- easily absorb to the skin
- brightening the skin
- suit for mature skin

The only minus of this product is the price of this retinal is quite expensive for only 20gr. I paid this for $25. 

The forte (stronger version) is nearly $50, for a student is hardly to afford lol, but if you have the budget, definitely try this one!!!

So I came across Dr. Different Vita A cream, this is a korean skincare brand. This has 0.5% retinal which is a derivative of tretinoin. The stronger version which has 1% retinal is Dr. Different Vita A cream forte (they rebrand as Dr. Different vitalif A cream forte). 

This retinal cream has hyaluronic acid as one of humectant and many other great ingredients that make this LESS IRRITATING for someone who has sensitive skin or afraid of purging.
I&#39;ve tried this for months and see many differences of my skin.

My routine for the retinal night is:
A gentle cleanser
Essence
Somethinc 10% Niacinamide + sabi white serum
Somethinc hyaluronic acid serum
Cerave moisturizing daily lotion
Dr. Different vita a cream

My retinal routine is only twice a week

This goes the last step of my night routine. I&#39;ve never purged as long as using this. This doesnt make my face dry (not as retinol or tretinoin), so that I feel my skin is soo hydrated , supple and plump the next morning I wake up. 

I notice the combo between niacinamide, sabi white, and the retinal work so good on my skin. My hyperpigmentation is brighten so quick. The next morning, I must apply sunscreen to protect my skin after using retinal last night.

For the fine lines near my eyes and my smile lines, I see many improvements. They become so smooth ✨✨ this effect is really good for working on your hyperpigmentation and dehydrated skin ✨
