Hi everyone-what’s your favorite skincare prep before make up? I am so confused because I hydrate so much and all my make up suddenly looks dry and just clings to dry spots or settles in pores.

The first thing that threw me off about this product was the strong scent that did not disappear even after washing off. Second, the grains feel like they are doing a good job at exfoliation, but it was too rough on my sensitive skin. Third, I had a smidge of a reaction resulting in tiny pus filled bumps all over my face. If you have reactive skin like mine I would use a less harsh phsycial scrub.

This product was not for me. If you love a rough phsyical exfoliating process you’d love the thick grains.

There is nothing bad about this product, especially since it soothes reactions and redness. There are some interesting things to note, such as, how watery this product is. I was personally expecting it to be thicker, but it seems to be as thin as a toner. This also doesn’t pack much hydration for me. I have dry skin so it would probably be perfect for oily skin. Instead, I use this product as a layering step (which i believe its intended for). Not sure it is 100% necessary in my skincare routine, but I love having it.

I love how this product is a singular effective ingredient, which is perfect for sensitive reactive skin. This is lightweight and absorbs well into the skin. Its a great product to layer for an extra soothing punch. It also soothed a reaction I had when using a chemical exfloiant.
