- Skipping moisturiser because you have oily skin: this will only make your skin produce more oil as it is trying to compensate for moisture loss
- Over washing your skin: doing this will only strip your skin of it’s natural oils therefore leading to increased oil production due to another compensation for moisture loss
- Using physical exfoliants(scrubs): oily skin comes with acne prone skin so scrubbing causes micro tears and trauma to already existing acne which will cause scars and more visible spots on the skin so rather than using physical scrubs go for chemical exfoliants e.g AHAs, BHAs and retinoids.

Misconceptions about oily skin

The only thing I don’t like about this product is that it leaves a sticky finish and it visibly leaves your skin greasy

This product contains niacinamide and arbutin which helped to slightly even out my skin tone, it has a very runny texture that dries down almost immediately on application and it also helped to control oil production
