A few weeks ago I damaged my skin barrier for what seems like the hundredth time. My skin is pretty sensitive but that doesn't stop me from wanting to try all the things. I also just really love skincare which causes me to do too much. I Find the fact that I can't wash my face 3 times a day super annoying. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Aaanyways, I figured I would share some products that have saved my skin barrier during times of stress. Barrier Repair Heroes!

So my skin has been super red and blotchy lately and I just noticed that its usually after coming back in from the cold. But it stays red for quite some time. I initially thought it was something I use in my skincare routine as I always noticed it around that time, BUT I always do my morning skincare routine, have coffee, and take my dogs out. Same thing at night after dinner.  So now I'm thinking its more the cold and wind that's causing the redness. How can I tell the difference?! I'm definitely going to keep an eye on my skin and pay better attention but as soon as I had this thought, I came straight to the best skincare community on the planet to chat about it. I'd love to hear what you all think. 💕

I may have judged too harsh with only 3 stars but only because products like this are becoming so unnecessary with HA seeming to pop up in every other product. I like HA but don't need it in every single step of my routine.

💬My thoughts: 
To be fair to the brand/product i habe to admit that I only gave three stars because dedicated HA serums feel super unnecessary for me personally. If you like HA, you'll love this ampoule. It's super lightweight, absorbs beautifully, & does what it claims. 

Some have found it to be drying, but I use heavy creams every day so that was not my experience. It can also be a bit pricey so shop around! Oh and avoid Amazon. Way too many fakes...especially for Round Lab products. 

This is one of those sunscreens that feels like it isn't even there. Which I love! It sits really well on the skin, dries down & disappears. Instant fave!

My experience : 
If you've followed me for a while you know how much I love cica. Its a game changer for sensitive skin. Mixsoon has formulated it beautifully in this product. There are multiple ways you can use it & I tried them all. I applied it with my hands & patted it in, I mixed it with serums, & then repurposed one of my favorite bottles & used it as a mist. The mist has become my favorite way to use this essence. It really soothes the skin on contact. 

🥶It has been so devastatingly cold in the midwest & my skin gets windburn easily. This essence has worked wonders for the irritation & redness. My skin drinks it up.

⚠️Contains Bergamot so be aware if you're sensitive to that. 

💬This is one of the few toners I prefer to use with a cotton pad. It definitely has brightening potential & while I've used it a few times, I haven't given it the consistency it needs to show results. I'm going to try and keep it in my routine for a few straight weeks and see how it goes, but for now I enjoy how it feels on my skin. The bergamot didn't irritate my skin & the scent wasn't overpowering. Overall it's just "meh" for now, but I love licorice root so I have high hopes that it will impress me. Will check back once I give it more time. 


Round Lab sent me this toner to try out & I freaking love it!! Its the perfect combo of milky & watery. "Nourishing" is in the title for a reason. Nourished is the best way to describe how my skin feels after layering this on. Oh and the bottle is huge so it will last a long time!

I prefer using my hands as cotton pads take away from the smooth, milky texture.

Highly recommend for most skin types!
