Benzene has been found in some batches of SPFs and after-sun products. Benzene is a carcinogen, which means that it can cause cancer. 

I recommend reading through the article, and see if your specific SPF is one of these. At the end of the article, there is a link to the list. Read the article and report for yourself.

I havent had time to read much into this, and I am also not an expert, so do your own research. I just wanted to give a heads up!

Carcinogen Found In SPFs

Has anyone experienced skin irritation when using this spf, or have any idea why it would irritate my skin?

The first 30 minutes it feels like its burning my skin (as if I am using a chemical peel that is waaaay too strong), and my eyes sting like crazy too. After a while, it feels okay, but if my eyes start to water (which they do quite easily after being irritated), it starts stigning again!

I have been a YesStyle influencer for about half a year now, and I'd like to share with you some pros and some cons. I only have experience being an influencer for them on Instagram. 

Pro:
✅ You can get a free product in exchange for a post about the product. Limited to one product per month. 
✅ The way you decide to share about the product (review, short review, texture shot, mention), is pretty open. As long as its a feed post (if you are on Instagram, I dont know about the other platforms) and use the hashtags and tags they provide (in addition, you can add the hashtags you want) 
✅ You can participate in campaigns where you get multiple products, in exchange for a video of the products. The shipping of these items are free. 


Cons:
❌ For montly PR products, you have to pay shipping.
❌ A lot of the times, the good products go fast and the bad products lasts for days. You have to check the platform every now and then to see what products are available to test out.
❌ You give them rights to your content

If you want to be a YesStyle influencer, I recommend that you read the TOS before you sign up.

All in all, I think its a great way to start out getting some PR to test out for your social media page without spending all your money, but its important to know what you sign up for! 😊

Yesstyle Influencer - the good and the bad

How do you keep a balance with the skincare that you have open, and the products you need to review (for Picky giveaways or other obligations)?

At the moment I have 3 sunscreens open. And even though one is almost empty, I am afraid they will go bad and/or lose its efficacy before I can use them up. The same amount with toners.

Personally, I try to be selective of what I say yes to receive, and all the giveaways I decide to enter. But even with that, some periods I still get more products than I can use up in a reasonable time. 

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic! 😊

Too much skincare 🙅🏻‍♀️

What is your go-to routine if you are feeling lazy or sick in the morning and/or evening? I would like to know what other people deem as a must!

Morning: just spf for me! Maybe a rinse if I am particularly greasy or sweaty 

Evening: water based cleanser then moisturiser (balm cleanser only if I am wearing makeup)

No particular brands, just whatever is easily accessible. 

On evenings where I cant get out of bed due to migraine, and am wearing makeup, my partner is so kind to get me my balm cleanser, a wet cloth and moisturiser. If I am not wearing makeup I will just skip everything.

Lazyday/sick skincare routine

The scent is a bit too strong (herbal), and it makes my skin feel a bit greasy after my second reapplication.

This sunscreen leaves my skin looking nice and healthy with a subtle glow. It has a green tint, but it blends easily out into nothing detectable. I really enjoy this for the texture.

A great hydrating toner. It has a watery texture and no scent. What sets this apart from other hydrating toners I have tried recently, is the very handy packaging! Just click and pour, no unscrewing of caps!

Love how soothed and smooth this makes my skin feel after using it ❤️
It has a gel texture, coming quite thick when you pump it out but rubs into a more watery texture. 
I can't detect much of a scent.
The pump is really useful! I much prefer this over a dropper/something with a screw cap.

Unfortunately, this product can leave quite of a white cast and can be difficult to blend into the skin! Even with my pale skin, it can be very apparent.
I have found that if I do not use skincare before applying the spf, or if I wait 30min after doing my skincare, it applies easier and doesnt leave as bad of a whitecast (this is what I did in the attached video). 
I love the other Rovectin products that I have tried, so this one was a bit of a disappointment for me 😔
IF you dont mind a white-cast and want a mineral spf, this could be one for you 😊👍

The sunscreen is like a light lotion that leaves my skin feeling moisturised but not greasy. Depending on what I have under the spf, it makes my skin look natural to dewy. 
It does not sting my eyes 🙌


Unfortunately, it can be difficult to rinse off. More than my preference, anyways. But with a water based second cleanse, its gone.

This cleanser is very gentle, while it removes all makeup and waterproof sunscreen. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised and supple.
